With ample space to leave your cars, bikes, surf and paddle boards, you will be spoilt for a choice of activities. The large kitchen at Marine House has everything you could need for your staycation, from the chilled wine cabinet to the magnificent range cooker. There are two double bedrooms, one with a super king size bed and the other with zip and link beds for flexible sleeping arrangements. The huge bathroom is very opulent, with the most amazing slipper bath and massive walk-in shower, easily one of the best rooms of the apartment! There is also a comfortable living room and a separate dining room to the front of the building with beach views - the perfect place for you to sit and eat dinner after a busy day on the water or exploring all that Sussex has to offer.
This is the quintessential seaside stay, Marine House is situated directly opposite the beach where a multitude of sports activities take place, including kitesurfing, windsurfing, fishing, and swim meets. From this advantageous location you can follow the promenade all the way to Brighton if you want, easily done on such a beautiful stretch of coastline! The Goring-by-sea Greensward, a fantastic 2 mile stretch of village green, is only a few minutes’ walk away and is perfect for picnics and barbecues or a game of football or cricket. The South Downs National Park is only a 10-minute drive and a perfect day out for the family, and the local leisure centre has great swimming facilities for adults and children alike. The WOW (Worthington Observation Wheel) offers stunning long-range views of all these wonderful Sussex coastline spots. The historic town of Arundel is only a few miles away, the picturesque streets and Castle Cathedral are the beginnings of a fine day out, finishing with a trip to the Arundel Wildfowl and Wetland Nature Reserve. To the east is the bustling city of Brighton, promising a great evening out, and 15 minutes to the north is Cissbury Ring, where you will see impressive panoramic views over Sussex. The famous Goodwood Estate is only 30 minutes further up the A27, offering a range of activities including the motor circuit racecourse, the aerodrome and a championship golf course. Not forgetting the Festival of Speed, the Goodwood Revival and the Glorious Goodwood festivals.

The beaches in this area remain quiet, even during the busiest summer periods and with man made rock islands just off the shore and accessible at low tide, the beach is wonderful to explore and is ideal for swimming, fishing, windsurfing and walking. Elmer is an ideal location to explore many of the attractions of the south coast from bustling Brighton, 25 miles, to the east to historic Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight to the west. In between there are beautiful places such as Chichester with its cathedral and festival theatre, quaint Arundel, 5 miles to the north with its castle, river, antique shops and famous wetland bird centre, Goodwood and Fontwell race courses and the beautiful South Downs are all close by. Situated in the grounds of the family farm (non-working), they are only 100 yards from the village of Compton with village shop and tea room with free wi-fi access. Enjoy peaceful walks along a bridle path leading to the South Downs Way, 2 miles designated as a National Park. The historic cathedral town of Chichester lies 10 miles away, with its cobbled streets adorned with tea rooms and restaurants, and the ornate cathedral. Scenic boat tours can be taken around the harbour. Goodwood and Fontwell races or polo at Cowdray are all within a short drive. Portsmouth, with shopping and leisure facilities, within easy reach. Dating back to the 1600s, The Old Dairy justifies its name. However, it has been beautifully renovated to a high specification with modern and luxurious touches throughout, and is now a wonderful self-catering cottage for two in the heart of the West Sussex countryside.
The kitchen has been cleverly designed with a large hatch overlooking the sitting room area, the perfect way to both show off your culinary skills and enjoy the warmth of the wood burner roaring away in the corner. The conservatory provides a lovely sunny room to dine or doze in on a warm summer’s day, with gorgeous views over the paddocks. After dinner you can curl up, open a book or simply enjoy each other’s company in this relaxed country retreat. If you would like use of a freestanding fridge/freezer please advise before you arrive so access to it can be organised.
Why not bring your horses? This cottage benefits from its own stabling on site and, what’s more, the conservatory looks out over the paddocks where your horses can graze. Equestrian facilities are on offer for up to three horses (by prior arrangement at an additional cost): DIY livery including stabling, grazing paddocks, a lockable tack room and large lorry/horsebox parking on site. Centrally located for all things equestrian: hunts, several competition centres such as Coombelands,Hickstead, Goodwoord, polo clubs (Cowdray, Knepp and Hurtwood), flat racing, point to points at Parham or just hacks (including on the beach). You can explore the countryside on horseback as well as walking and/or cycling in the area.
Why not head out in the morning and return for an invigorating shower in the stunning white-tiled wet room, or take a picnic and wander into the evening skies to watch the sunset with a cold bottle of bubbles. Either way, a wonderful holiday experience in this quiet part of rural Sussex.

The terraced property is located on the outskirts of Bognor Regis and the local area has plenty to offer to make your stay memorable. Bognor Regis is one of the most popular seaside resorts on the south coast of England, boasting lovely beaches, fun at Hotham Park, great family activities at the Butlin’s resort and much, much more. The South Downs National Park is also nearby for scenic walks, or there are plenty of attractions within easy reach, including many National Trust properties.
A little further afield you could take a trip to Chichester, where you can visit the town’s 12th-century cathedral and admire an area that is steeped in history. Check out Arundel with its historic castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, which is situated only 10 miles away and provides a good day out. The Goodwood Estate is well worth a visit and is situated just a short drive away, where you can enjoy an event at the racecourse, or simply just walk round and admire the beautiful estate. Also worth a visit is Fontwell Park Racecourse, which is only 8 miles away. You can jump on the train at Bognor Regis station and travel east towards Brighton, which is known for its cosmopolitan feel and has the Royal Pavilion, art galleries, theatres, extensive shopping, marina and other facilities. Alternatively head west to Portsmouth and its historic dockyard, and admire the Spinnaker Tower, historic ships or waterside dining. For an excellent day trip, take a ferry across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
