The property is set mainly over one level however you have a king size bed on the mezzanine floor which can be accessed by a steep paddle staircase, there is very limited head room but is an ideal area for children. On the ground floor you have a fully equipped kitchen which is shared with the living area and boasts a Smart TV and all the facilities you would expect in a self-catering lodge. On the same floor you have a small bathroom with a shower cubicle and heated towel rail along with a private bedroom with a double bed.
The enclosed garden offers a picnic bench along with a firepit which can also be used as a barbecue and gives you a full panoramic view of the North York Moors which is simply beautiful; luxury glamping does not get much more perfect than this. With the cottage situated near Helmsley, the local pubs, restaurants, shops and Helmsley Brewery are within easy reach, a short 6-mile drive.
The North York Moors National Park is full of bike trails and fantastic, scenic walks including the very popular Rievaulx Abbey. Nearby towns include Malton, Pickering, Thirsk, and a little further afield York. Also, the very popular coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough are approximately a 40-minute drive away should you wish to have a day at the beach.

The kitchen area is well equipped and has granite worktops, an electric hob and full-sized oven, fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave, allowing you to cook a meal at any time of day and then relax on the sofa with a glass of wine or a cuppa! The shower room has been finished to the same high standard, with a large electric shower and heated towel rail for your comfort. Underfloor heating features throughout making the pod the ideal choice for a holiday at any time of year!
There is a working equestrian facility to the rear and if you can bear to tear yourself away, then you are within driving distance of many superb attractions in south Somerset. Nearby are the great attractions of the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, the Haynes Classical Car Collection, the enchanting Glastonbury Tor and Clarks Factory Village. There are numerous historic houses, the cathedral city of Wells and onto the delightful Cheddar Gorge and caves, while further afield is the historic spa city of Bath. There is a wealth of attractions and sights to enjoy and on your return perhaps stroll down to the local award-winning village pub, 1 mile away, to wine and dine.

The Shepherd’s Hut is a wonderful choice for those looking to escape and enjoy life in peaceful surroundings, with wide open countryside just a short stroll away. The property has been equipped with all modern comforts with the added luxury of a private hot tub and fire pit to enjoy after a day out in the countryside.
Situated next to, but totally private from its neighbour The Steading (UK5834), each can be booked together to accommodate families or couples, and each lovingly furnished, enjoying the same attention to detail. Located just 4 miles from the centre of Montrose and a couple of miles from the nearest shop and pub, there is plenty to discover in the area. Glorious sandy beaches in Montrose, Lunan Bay or St Cyrus are wonderful for bracing walks or playing in the sand.
Montrose Basin is a renowned nature reserve and wildlife centre and in the winter, thousands of pink-footed geese make a spectacular sight taking off in the early morning to feed in the surrounding countryside. Away from the coast are the Angus Glens which form the foothills of the Grampian Mountains, with myriad walks and trails to be discovered. Golf, tennis and a leisure pool are in the town itself, or further afield the cities of Dundee and Aberdeen are almost equi-distant and have plenty of shops, eateries and theatres for an alternative day out. These bespoke, hand-built shepherd huts provide the perfect getaway for those looking for a great mix of glamping and contemporary facilities. The huts themselves have been designed to offer Romani-caravan style living in that all you will find inside is a beautifully appointed bedroom with a full-size double bed and a wardrobe. Don’t be fooled though, as these pretty little huts offer far more room than a traditional Romani-style caravan and make for a lovely space to relax and unwind. Each of these charming properties comes with access to a shared building housing individual private high-end bathrooms for each of the two units and a well-equipped shared kitchen and dining room. Tucked away on the site of the Mid Suffolk Light Railway track bed, close to the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway Museum, these delightful and unique holiday properties are based on the railway theme: one a station building plus 5 converted railway carriages, enjoying panoramic views across rolling countryside.

The Station House (ref E5336) is a comfortable detached, three-bedroom station building, typical of the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway. With one double and two twin bedrooms, it can house up to six adults.

Railway Carriage One (ref E5337) is a compact but airy carriage with a living room and kitchen area and sleeps four in comfort. There is a double bedroom and a second sleeping area with two short bunk beds suitable for children.

Railway Carriage Two (ref E5601) is a well-appointed and spacious carriage with two bedrooms, one double, one with two bunk beds, and a further sofa bed in the living area to sleep two. The open plan living area, and an adjoining kitchen, allows families or friends to spread out, relax and enjoy their holiday together.

The Guard’s Van (E5639) offers two comfortable bedrooms for four people, with a double and two single beds. It has a delightful living and dining room with comfortable, upholstered bench seats which retain the original feel of the carriage.

The Italian Carriage (UKC3492) offers accommodation for up to four people. At one end you will find a bunk room, sleeping two people and the other a double bed in the master room. In the centre of the carriage is an open plan seating and kitchen area. The carriage enjoys its own patio and seating area.

Wilby Halt (ref UKC712) is a quirky and unusual property is split over two restored railway carriages. Linked by a railway platform, the first carriage houses the living space including kitchen and comfortable living room. The second carriage is the sleeping carriage where you will find the double bedroom and further room with bunk bed and single bed. This really is a unique experience and perfect for families.

It is surrounded by country lanes and farmland, making it an ideal location for those who enjoy cycling, walking and just relaxing and getting away from it all. It is centrally located, so it is also a great destination for those who want to sample what Suffolk has to offer. The owner’s own swimming pool, ¾ mile away, is available and is heated all year. Local amenities can be found in the pretty village of Debenham only 4 miles away, which has some lovely shops, pubs and cafés, as well as a local supermarket and leisure centre.
