Rivendell is a detached bungalow with incredible views over the Severn Estuary. The property consists of a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and an open plan living/dining area with Freeview TV, and a cosy open fire. There is also a family bathroom and three bedrooms, comprising a single bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a master double bedroom. Outside you will find an enclosed garden with a lawn, flower beds, seating areas, and a summerhouse. Access to a lower lawn with an orchard is down steps or a sloping grass path. A handrail is provided for use as necessary.
Walks can be had directly from the garden out into the forest. The Forest of Dean is bordered by the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the River Severn. In this compact area, there are outdoor activities in abundance including horse riding, golf, fishing, mountain biking trails from easy to extreme, canoeing, kayaking, and rock climbing. Wonderful walks with stunning scenery await you within the forest and the Wye Valley and every season has a beauty of its own. Time your stay to coincide with the Severn Bore, one of the natural wonders of the world.
There are numerous fun places to visit with attractions such as Go Ape, Puzzlewood, Mountain Biking routes from Easy to Extreme at Pedal-Bike-Away, and a separate Family Trail, The Wye Valley for Water Sports and Rock Climbing, Clearwell Caves, and the Beechenhurst Sculpture Trail. All about 10-20 minutes away. Chepstow and Goodrich Castles and Tintern Abbey are interesting historical sites for all ages. Blakeney village is just a few minutes away by car and walkable in about 10 minutes. Amenities include a post office/newsagents, general store, pub, fish and chip shop, church, bus stop, and surgery.
The cathedral city of Gloucester, Monmouth, Chepstow, and the pretty market town on Ross-on-Wye are all within a short drive. Regency Cheltenham and The Cotswolds, The Malvern Hills, The Cathedral City of Hereford (with the famous Mappa Mundi), and The Black Mountains of Wales are also all just an easy day’s drive away.

Box Tree Cottage has been renovated to a high standard in 2021. Located in Blakeney in The Forest of Dean, it is an ideal location for exploring the beautiful area. This is a fantastic area for those who want to escape to the countryside. You won’t get bored exploring local forests, whether cycling through the many trails or admiring the views on foot. You might like to jump on the train and head 45-minutes away to Cardiff for shopping and dining out. For a great day out, be sure to visit Gloucester Cathedral, a must see for Harry Potter fans! Or for a change of pace enjoy some shopping in Cheltenham or Bristol.
Other outdoor activities include canoeing at Symonds Yat, walking through Clearwell Caves hidden under the forest floor and Go Ape at Beechenhurst. There is plenty for children to explore, such as a magical day at Puzzlewood, take a trip on the steam railways or visit the Butterfly Trail in nearby Ross-on-Wye. Box Tree cottage consists of a large open plan kitchen/dining room with exposed stone walls and beams, well-equipped with everything you could need during your stay, including a washing machine for muddy clothes. The dining area has a double fronted wood burner and can be seen from both the dining area and living room. The large living room features patio doors leading to the garden, a Smart TV and wood burner, again with beams and exposed stone walls. On the first floor there is a super kingsize bedroom with zip and link bed, a twin room, and a family bathroom with roll-top bath and a shower cubicle.

Court Park Barn is situated in the Forest of Dean, on the owners land with views over the paddock, close to the town of Chepstow. There are plenty of sights to see in Chepstow. visit Chepstow Castle, the oldest castle in Wales, which is a fabulous way to spend the day. Walk or cycle along the historical Offas Dyke. Another great historic site is Tintern Abbey. Perfect place for exploring the area whether it be on foot or by bicycle or for a fun day out nearby you will find exciting days out such as Go Ape, Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves, Dean forest Railway. Chepstow also has a racecourse. The town of Chepstow is a 10-minute drive from Court Park Barn and has an abundance of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. The beautiful Cathedral City of Gloucester, historic City of Bristol and the pretty market town of Ross-in-wye are all just a short drive away.

Claysun House has an abundance of space inside and out, perfect for all the family, young and old. This stunning four bedroom, four bathroom detached home is nestled within the Forest of Dean. Claysun House is spaciously spread over three floors.
