There are so many attractions nearby such as the UFO walk in the well-known Rendlesham forest, the famous “Sutton Hoo” viking burial site (Netflix made a popular series about it) 5 minutes down the road. We are only 13 minutes away from the nearest beach, shingle street, and 18 minutes from Aldeburgh, a popular tourist destination. This area is surrounded by the rural region of Penllyn, with mountains, forests, waterfalls, and many lakes, perfect for avid kayakers and paddle boarders. Penllyn’s main mountain ranges - Aran, Arenig and Berwyn – rival those of other parts of Snowdonia but are not as crowded. Hundreds of miles of footpaths and bridleways give access to spectacular places no matter what time of year you visit. Further afield is Llangollen well worth a trip in the car, here you’ll find the Horseshoe Falls and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, which offers beautiful walks, barge trips and views.
