Children will love exploring the sea caves and rock pools, or for the more adventurous, windsurfing and kayaking can also be found in the area.
For history buffs, Caernarfon Castle is worth a visit and is set on the banks of the River Seiont, whilst Harlech Castle is situated on a rocky crag overlooking sand dunes far below. The highest peak in Wales, Mount Snowdon, is a must for outdoor enthusiasts, and there is also the Snowdon Mountain Railway which will take you to the top. For seaside fun, visit the bustling market town of Pwllheli, with its beach, art galleries, sailing and watersports centre, and coastal cruises out to see wildlife such as seals, sea birds and dolphins. Tyn Y Maen is a welcoming, comfortable property with a large garden, and benefits from an outdoor utility which has an additional shower and storage for bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. The living room has a large inglenook fireplace with cosy log burner, and doors leading out onto the large garden area. Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle and a fine selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, is just 15 minutes drive away, and is also the start of the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of Snowdonia. The popular beaches of Dinas Dinlle and Llanfairfechan are only 20 minutes’ drive away. Tyn Y Maen is a perfect location for relaxing winter escapes and summer beach holidays.
