All amenities are close by, with a pub and shop in nearby Bontnewydd. Only a short 5-mile drive takes you down to the beautiful beach at Dinas Dinlle, which is well worth a visit, with wonderful views across the bay to Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula. The area is a designated Site of Special Scientific interest due to a number of rare birds that live in the area; a must for any bird watchers. For the more adventurous, you’re only a short drive from many walking routes that will take you up Mount Snowdon, for the less adventurous there’s always the easier route up by train on the famous railway in Llanberis. And no visit to this area would be complete without taking in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Caernarfon Castle. You’re also only a short drive to Zip World, the longest zip wire in the world! What a magnificent area this really is!

The Welsh Highland narrow gauge railway passes close by and makes for a memorable trip into the mountains of Snowdonia, an enormous range of exciting activities and attractions lie close by including Zip World, the longest zip wire in the world. This really is a superb spot for exploring this amazing part of North Wales, where you can enjoy both spectacular mountain scenery and the most amazing beaches, along with a host of family attractions. It really does make a fantastic base from which to explore the Snowdonia National Park whatever time of year, with its cosy wood burning stove and fabulous views.
Pant Du Vineyard is just over half a mile away from the cottage, an absolute must visit whilst here. The many attractions of this area include a narrow gauge steam railway, which winds its way from historic Caernarfon into the heart of the Snowdonia Mountains, and a small airfield for pleasure flights over the area.
Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle, is within easy reach and also offers a fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with golf, bike hire and sailing.

Beudy Bach is a lovingly renovated stone cottage located on Cilgwyn mountain with breathtaking views spanning from the Llyn Peninsula and over to Anglesey. On a clear day you can even see as far as Ireland. If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway with a great central location, then Beudy Bach is the one for you. Whether it’s for heading over to Anglesey or sampling some of the delights the Llyn Peninsula has on offer, or the Black Rock Sands beach in Porthmadog, you won’t be disappointed by how much is on offer.
Beudy Bach is just a short distance away from the bustling market town of Caernarfon, known around the world for its magnificent castle, a must see when you’re staying locally. Whilst you’re there you can also indulge in Caernarfon’s many restaurants, cafés and pubs. The nearest pub to Beudy Bach is just 2 miles away and there are several pubs within the area of Caernarfon and Snowdonia. Another hot spot, just a short drive away within Snowdonia, is the quaint town of Beddgelert, where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll along the river and take a trip to Gelert’s grave to discover the story of the legendary dog. Wherever you decide to explore and visit, Beudy Bach offers a cosy retreat to return to. Here you’re really in the heart of all North Wales has to offer, with lakes, coastal paths, Snowdonia and popular tourist towns all within easy reach. Dinas Dinlle beach is in walking distance from the lodge, with wonderful views across the bay to the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Caernarfon Castle, an imposing UNESCO World Heritage site, is under 8 miles and where Prince Charles took his investiture. Venture just a little further and you have Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland Railway. There’s something for all ages in this diverse region and it would certainly be a break to remember. Beach ½ mile.

Absolutely perfect for two adults and two children - this 200 hundred year old rustic Grade II listed cottage with its cosy interior is set in a pretty little hamlet and simply oozes rustic charm! Small mullioned windows look out across rolling fields dotted with large mature trees, a wood burning stove sits in an inglenook and the pretty bedroom has a Victorian fireplace - lots of interesting ornaments and pictures everywhere reflecting the owners’ taste and personality. The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful old fashioned country garden full of colour and the lovely scent of lavender. The whitewashed walls in the delightful rear patio area are covered with climbing hydrangeas and clematis and the area has sun loungers as well as a dining table and chairs for al fresco meals in the sun.
The pretty cottages in this tiny hamlet were built to house the workers from the nearby Glynllifon Estate. Soak up the peaceful atmosphere and walk along the country lanes with hedgerows thick with the summer growth of cow parsley, scarlet foxgloves and ragged robin - Dinas Dinlle Beach is nearby.
Apart from the beach at Dinas Dinlle there are two secluded beaches that are really only accessible from the Coastal Path. Leave the car at Pontllyfni and join the path by the beach - a lovely sandy cove and usually quiet, carrying on along the path will lead you to Aberdesach another quiet sandy bay. Nefyn and Morfa Nefyn, around 10 miles away, are 2 beautiful beaches. These stunning bays are next to each other, both with easy access car parks. Visit the old smugglers cove of Porthdinllaen.
