This pair of pretty stone cottages, thought to date back to the 1800s are set near the tip of the Lleyn Peninsula. The drive to the holiday cottages is delightful, miles of sea and fantastic countryside. Set about a mile away from the beaches and coves, one of the most popular bathing spots of the Lleyn Peninsula. ’Whistling sands’ is little more than a mile and equal distance is the popular resort of Aberdaron with its shops and eating houses. Cyll y Felin Fawr 1 boasts a welcoming coal fire and Cyll Y Felin Fawr 2 is ideal for children, the low attic bedroom being a great hideaway. A wonderful holiday location whatever the season, this charming, spacious and traditional, mid-terraced cottage has a lovely enclosed garden and is situated opposite the historic St Beuno Church, which dates back to the 7th century. It was an important stopping place for pilgrims heading for Bardsey Island. As you step out of the front door of the cottage you are immediately on the cycle track route from Llanaelhaearn to Caernarfon.

Just a short walk from the cottage is a pebbled beach and access to the Wales coastal path with fabulous panoramic views across to Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula.

The Snowdonia National Park is close by for a fine selection of outdoor pursuits which include the Snowdon Mountain Railway, climbing to the summit of Mount Snowdon, Wales’ highest mountain, Zip World and Surf Snowdonia, as well as being a paradise for walkers and cyclists. Historic Caernarfon is within easy reach and is home to the Welsh Highland Railway, providing a spectacular narrow-gauge steam journey to Beddgelert and Porthmadog. Black Rock Sands and the Italianate village of Portmeirion are within easy reach; whilst in the other direction are Betws-y-Coed and the Conwy Valley. Beach 9 miles. This lovely, semi-detached pet friendly converted barn is on the outskirts of Dyffryn Ardudwy near Barmouth. Furnished to a good standard, the accommodation provides a perfect retreat for couples wanting to explore this part of rural Snowdonia. The open plan living area is well-equipped and has plenty of storage and worktop space, together with a breakfast bar, and there is a comfortable leather sofa and flatscreen Freeview TV in the living room. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Harlech and explore its impressive castle. Take leisurely walks from the door or spend a day at the nearby sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn.
