Afon Dulas Cottage is a three bedroom cottage that all have hanging space for your clothes. The living room has comfortable sofas and the dining room has a table with five chairs. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook up a great meal and the dining room has a dining table with five chairs so you can sit and enjoy the fruits of your labour together.
Situated in the beautiful Welsh village of Ceinws with a stream running through it and with far reaching valley views. Afon Dulas Valley Cottage is just a short drive from the local market town of Machynlleth, plus the beaches of Both and Tywyn are also just a short car journey away. The cottage is a perfect escape for a relaxing break and a great place to spend time with the family, even the four legged members.

This holiday home is also well placed for road links to the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, the stunning Christchurch Harbour and the beautiful coastline including Sandbanks, Bournemouth, Studland and Swanage.
Other places of interest include Beaulieu Motor Museum, Marwell Zoo, Bovington Tank Museum and New Forest Wildlife Park are worth a visit. Boasting superb panoramic views over scenic, rolling fields where horses graze, this well-presented, single-storey lodge forms a wing of the owner’s family home. Ideally located in a peaceful setting, Weaver’s Lodge makes the perfect relaxing retreat. It is situated along a forest track and offers direct access to miles of walks in the New Forest National Park. Inside, this light and airy home offers tastefully furnished accommodation using carefully co-ordinated colour schemes. The large windows in the living area offer plenty of natural light and a wonderful vista. For those bringing a dog, there are plenty of excellent walks all around, many of which offer great bird and wildlife spotting. For guests who may wish to bring a horse, the owners offer stables, a menage and horsebox storage on site, available by prior arrangement.

Although in a rural setting, many towns and picturesque villages are within an easy drive. There is an award-winning farm shop about a 10-minute walk away, which has local produce and a licenced café. There is also a pub serving good food just under a mile away. For the outdoor enthusiast, riding, cycling or strawberry picking are all nearby, as well as a popular water sports park. Visit Moors Valley Country Park which has orienteering, cycle hire, golf, forest Segway, walking groups, canoeing, petanque and craftmaking. There is a fishing lake close by.

The New Forest National Park provides miles of open scenic heath and woodland for walking, riding and cycling, as well as a network of footpaths and bridle paths. You can often find ponies, donkeys and cattle freely roaming. The charming town of Fordingbridge which has a host of shops, cafés and eateries, and the gentle flowing River Avon, is also nearby. Ringwood also has a good selection of shops and restaurants, and is about a 15-minute drive away. Weaver’s Lodge is convenient for road links to the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, as well as for visiting Christchurch Harbour and the coast with Poole and Bournemouth. Forest Lodge is situated in an idyllic setting in a quiet corner of the New Forest, enjoying direct forest access which is home to an abundance of wildlife. Whilst in the grounds of the owner’s home, Forest Lodge has its own parking area and pathway. This detached holiday property stands alone and is not visible from the main house. Stabling and grazing are available for 2 horses on site, with prior arrangement with the owner and there is a grassy children’s play area with football goalposts, rugby posts and other games. The New Forest National Park offers thousands of acres of moor, heath and woodlands, where ponies and cattle roam free, and is perfect for walking, cycling and riding. You may also see wild deer, foxes, badgers and rabbits. The New Forest is a genuine walker’s paradise and also a fantastic place for cycling, with miles of traffic free tracks. Farm shops, pubs, tea rooms, an excellent restaurant and a church are within 5 minutes of the property. There is a riding school nearby offering hacks across the forest for both the beginner and more experienced rider. Forest Lodge is 4 miles from the market towns of Ringwood and Fordingbridge, and 12 miles from the historic city of Salisbury, with its magnificent cathedral and tallest spire in the UK. The coastal resorts and sandy beaches of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch are approximately 15 miles away. Coarse fishing is available on the nearby River Avon. Both Irenic Lodge (ref UKC3707) and Irenic Lodge 2 (ref UKC4176) have been beautifully refurbished to a very good standard throughout. They are comfortable and tastefully styled, semi-detached bungalows ideal for couples and families wishing to explore this popular part of Hampshire. The spacious, light, airy open plan living/dining area has reclining leather sofas and French doors to the enclosed patio garden with pergola and garden furniture, which is a great spot for al fresco dining.
The lodges are less than 2 miles from the historic village square of Hamble-Le-Rice with its famous quay (you can even hop on the small pink passenger ferry to Warsash!). There are several pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and shops nearby. Hamble has good rail links from a modest train station a short walk away to London, Southampton and Portsmouth. The village has played a significant role in the country’s aviation and maritime history and there are few villages in Britain that can boast to have had a priory, a Norman church and a castle over the centuries. Today, Hamble is known as a sailing and yachting centre of excellence and many people visit to enjoy the friendly community spirit and ambiance especially during the summer months. This is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the area. Popular destinations include maritime Southampton and Portsmouth, with historic ships, designer shopping, leisure facilities and ferries to the Isle of Wight.

Stockbridge is famous for the River Test, with its legendary fly-fishing beats and beautiful clear water chalk streams. The Test Way footpath is ideal for walks and cycling too. Stockbridge lies at the heart of the popular Test Valley and features many circular walks for the casual walker, some of which link into longer distance routes. Wonderful features are close at hand, Stockbridge Marsh, which walkers can reach direct from the high street and Stockbridge Down, with its panoramic views across the valley, are both owned by the National Trust. Just up the hill towards Salisbury is one of the most famous Iron Age Hill Forts in England, Danebury.
The Sprat and Winkle Line, once a railway line linking Southampton and Andover is now part of the Test Way long distance footpath and runs through Stockbridge. Famed for its historic places and bustling streets, Winchester just a short 20-minute drive away and hosts an enchanting selection of majestic sites, traditional ale houses and highly acclaimed restaurants waiting to be explored. The charming high street offers quaint alleyways and cosy squares draped with independent gift shops and high street stores and home to a thriving food scene, Rick Stein, The Ivy, River Cottage, and Michelin starred restaurants can be found. Located in a breathtaking setting, completely enveloped in the rolling countryside which is has wildlife in abundance, this attractive, brick and flint holiday cottage makes a romantic and peaceful retreat, ideal for couples and walkers. As the name suggests, Drovers Cottage was formerly a place of rest for drovers (modern day livestock transporters), who travelled hundreds and hundreds of miles with their animals and needed somewhere to rest. The group of fir trees, which still remain to this day, were an easily recognisable landmark even from afar. The fields surrounding the cottage are of archaeological interest, as they were used as Roman camps and often oyster shells can be found, these were brought in barrels from the coast for the Roman warriors to eat, and they tossed the shells into the fields.
Having been totally renovated, Drovers Cottage offers tasteful and well-presented accommodation, and is within easy walking distance to the quaint thatched-roof village, with its shop, beautiful church and two pubs serving good food. This picturesque village is steeped in history, it has a bronze burial in the parish, which dates back to 2000BC. The village was part of the Royal Manor, belonging first to King Alfred the Great, then later William the Conqueror, which is recorded in the Domesday Book.
Within easy reach are the South Downs, Portsmouth, Winchester Cathedral, Southampton with its maritime history, the New Forest, Chichester, beaches at the Witterings or Hayling Island, the Watercress steam train, Jane Austen’s house, Gilbert White’s house and Birdworld.
