There are three good sized bedrooms, with the master having a kingsize bed, a second bedroom with a double and the third with a single. The bathroom has a wonderful large drench shower and a bath.
From the front door there are walks aplenty, and only a short stroll away, there is a bay and slipway where you can launch kayaks from to go wildlife watching in Loch Ewe. You’ll have a good chance of seeing otters and seals, as well as harbour porpoises and possibly dolphins. The fishing is fantastic too, and from the slipway you’ll be able to catch mackerel for supper if you wish. Also, if you have your own boat and trailer, you can launch from this slipway. Beyond Cove you will find remains of WW2 bunkers used to protect the entrance of the deep sea loch which was a safe harbour for Russian convoy submarines, you can find out more about the history in the Russian Convoy museum in Aultbea.
There is an outstanding local red-hued sandy beach only one mile from the house called Firemore Beach. Poolewe is only 8 miles away with its shops and places to eat, as well as local market every Tuesday between April and October. Inverewe Gardens sits on the shores of Loch Ewe in Poolewe and Gairloch is only 8 miles further away, plus the magical landscape of Wester Ross is at your disposal to explore. Beach 1 mile. - St Andrews, ScotlandCastle Park is nestled in a residential area tucked away in the popular and charming village of Ceres. It is the ideal ’home away from home’, making it the perfect base to explore the beautiful Kingdom of Fife. Castle Park has been refurbished in 2023 to a high standard, offering three comfortable bedrooms, one double and two singles (6ft-3in long beds). The living room offers open plan dining, whilst the kitchen is well-equipped. There is a good size garden, perfect to sit out al fresco in the evening after a day of exploring.

Ceres is home to Scotland’s oldest Highland Games, which is on the last weekend in June every year. There are plenty of beautiful country walks right on your doorstep including Craighall Den, Pilgrim’s Way, and the Hill of Tarvit. Nearby attractions include The Scottish Deer Centre, Craigtoun Country Park, Barbarafield Riding School, Tentsmuir and Morton Lochs. Fife also has beautiful beaches along the coastline.
A visit to St Andrews, the home of golf is a must. St Andrews is a beautiful historic town full of vibrant shops, sandy beaches and places to eat, or why not visit the inspiring city of Dundee where you can visit the famous Victoria and Albert Museum. Dundee has so much to offer from great restaurants, art galleries, a cinema and plenty of shops, all within a 30-minute drive.

- Fort William, ScotlandSituated above Loch Linnhe with uninterrupted views over towards Corpach and Trislaig, you can watch the sea and golden eagles above from the decking of this pod, as well as the roe deer visiting you in the morning. Unlike other pods, Cheviot comes with a full-size shower, a wood burner, a kingsize bed, a sofa bed for two children and a kitchen with a mini fridge and freezer. This is the perfect spot to relax in and enjoy the area with many activities and attractions within driving distance.
The nearest pubs, restaurants and shops are within 1 mile from Cheviot pod. The train station (which is less than 2 miles will away) will take you on the Harry Potter Steam Train and over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, passing some of the most spectacular scenery and beaches that cannot be seen from the road down to Mallaig. The latter is renowned as a fishing village and also where you can get a ferry over to the Isle of Skye (remember to pre book the train as it fills up quickly).
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK and is one of the munros you can enjoy a walk up to the summit. The Nevis Range hosts the European Bike Trials.
South of Fort William you have Glencoe; no matter what time of year you travel through Glencoe it is a mystical land and will not fail to impress. Again, it offers great walks for all abilities and there is also a ski lift for those that enjoy the winter sport (in the summer the dry ski slope is open for tubing, a great fun day for all the family). If you are looking for something to do on a rest day in Fort William itself, there is a cinema, soft play, ten pin bowling, swimming pool or enjoy a walk over to Neptunes Staircase.
