The house and annexe sleep twenty-six people. The house has five bedrooms, an annexe with two more bedrooms, a living room, a thirty-seater dining table, a fully equipped kitchen with two ovens, and four bathrooms. In the garden you will find a games room, two hot tubs and a BBQ area. There is adequate parking for up to 10 cars.
Bath and Bristol are both less than 10 miles away and under a 20-minute drive, and within a short drive are the picturesque villages of Lacock and Castle Combe, both favourite locations for TV and film directors. Lacock features in Harry Potter, Downton Abbey and Pride and Prejudice, and Castle Combe was the backdrop for War Horse.
Experience the Georgian city of Bath, only 7 miles away by car. With its famous architecture, the Jane Austen Centre, and thermal spa (Thermae), the city offers something for everybody. The Roman Baths, The Royal Crescent, the famous Pulteney Bridge, and the Christmas markets are among the city’s many must see attractions.
Nearby National Trust properties can be found within a short drive, as well as other stately homes. Head to Longleat Safari Park or visit Avebury and Stonehenge, all under an hour away.

There’s also a fabulous elevated patio area, with ramped access, giving further fantastic views, and an exciting children’s play area which is shared with the owner’s other holiday property. Ruthin is just 4 miles away, home to the Ruthin Craft Centre, and the former Ruthin Gaol, here you will find a great selection of eateries and individual shops in the streets radiating down the hill from the centre of town. A little further afield is Llandegla Forest with its mountain bike centre and great walks, whilst the historic city of Chester with its famous city walls, cathedral and unique shops in the Rows is well worth a visit. Betws-y-Coed, the ’Gateway to the Snowdonia National Park’, is also within easy reach and offers outdoor clothing shops and the amazing Zip World Fforest. Beach 22 miles. The Old School House is a superb property situated in Horrabridge, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.
