The main cycle path from Sandown to Newport is accessed a few minutes away in Alverstone Village and the shopping town of Newport is about 15-20 minutes’ drive away, making this spot an ideal base to explore the whole Island. The house is recently built, and is conveniently laid out and furnished in a modern style, decorated with family living in mind. The kitchen is open plan with the dining area, so if it’s your turn to cook you won’t miss out on all the fun! From the dining area, patio doors lead outside, where there’s a table and chairs for those warmer evenings.
You’ll find one of the three bedrooms on the ground floor (bagsy this one for the zip and link twin beds which can be super kingsize bed on request!) and two further bedrooms upstairs. There’ll be no fighting over the bathroom either, with a family bathroom upstairs, and a shower room on the ground floor.
Outside, the enclosed back garden provides plenty of space for the kids to let off steam after a day at the beach whilst you unwind with a glass of wine. At the front of the house, the driveway has space for three cars.

The island has become a real hot spot for cycling enthusiasts, with a choice of challenging off-road bridleways, peaceful byways and level purpose-made tracks running along former railway lines. You can cycle across the width of the island to the famous Needles landmark, or try the full round the island route, which is 66 miles long and is used for the annual Isle of Wight Randonnee held over the bank holiday in May.
