This former Pump House has been tastefully converted to a comfortable three bedroom cottage. The property is furnished to a high standard with quality pieces and fixtures throughout.
You enter the hallway which leads to the living room, there are big comfy sofas so you can curl up in front of the wood burner on an autumnal evening, or you can open the French doors and let the sun in on a barmy summers’ day. Moving through the property, you enter the kitchen/dining area with it’s high, church like ceiling. The kitchen is well appointed, and the centre piece is the large oil fuelled Rayburn range. Millom has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and is also home to the Millom Discovery Centre, a local attraction detailing Millom’s development and history. If you are a walker or cyclist, then the area is simply beautiful in terms of scenery or if you are looking for alternative activities, you’ll find an array of things to occupy your family or friends with Museums, Steam railways, Castles, Safari zoo and Coniston water all within a 30 minute drive. The area is renowned for its green hills and fells but there is also a nearby beach at Haverigg which has safe sands and is an RSPB reserve so there is truly something for everyone. Beach 3 miles.

Lobbs is a traditional Lakeland farmhouse dating back to the 1600’s and recently renovated and brought up to date in 2022. It is located in the Lake District National Park in a special secluded fell-side setting with exceptional and unique views of the Blencathra mountain range.
It offers five good sized bedrooms - three on the ground floor with a family bathroom, and two bedrooms on the first floor with a shower room. The ground floor has a modern kitchen with all appliances you would want with a dining area just off it, there are also two living areas, both with large Smart TVs. The farmhouse is just 7 miles from the vibrant Lake District town of Keswick, which is brimming with great restaurants, pubs serving local craft ales, an excellent range of shopping experiences and some memorable tourist attractions. If you fancy something a bit different, then why not visit The Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the world’s largest pencil. Also within easy reach is Puzzling Place, which is full of mind-boggling optical illusions. If you like culture, you could try the Theatre by the Lake, with its enviable position on the shores of Derwentwater, which offers award-winning performances in drama and arts.
If you like walking or cycling, you are surrounded by some of the most challenging fells in the area, as well as several less challenging walking routes suitable for people who like sightseeing without the strain. Keswick is at the northern end of Derwentwater, one of the area’s iconic lakes, and offers a great base and starting point for many an adventure. You can tick off a few of Wainwright’s 214 Lakeland Fells, including Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn within a few miles’ radius.
