You can explore the town and watch the passing canal boats cruise along the peaceful Lancaster Canal, or if you fancy just a short walk (2 miles), you can walk from the village across the fields to Cobble Hey Farm and Gardens where there is a lovely café, gardens and a real working farm to see.
Why not visit the historic city of Lancaster, which has much to see and do? You can explore Lancaster Castle, one of the most captivating landmarks in the city along with its Georgian architecture. The seaside resorts of Morecambe and Blackpool are equally reachable, whilst the Forest of Bowland and, further afield, the wonderful Lake District National Park are within an hour’s drive and are also well worth a visit!
