The area offers a wide choice of entertainment and leisure facilities including boating, walking, cycling and bowling. For those who love golf, Lytham St Annes is internationally famous for its four championship golf courses. The town also hosts various events throughout the year including the Lytham Proms which takes place every August, whilst the popular kite festival is held on the beach at St Annes. The promenade stretches from Lytham through St Annes and on to Blackpool offering a beautiful seaside stroll for those who enjoy walking.
For birdwatchers and wildlife lovers, the Ribble Estuary is home to a diverse range of rare birds, plants, insects and animals. The Beach House is a wonderful semi-detached period property which can be found on the picturesque Fylde Coast, in the family friendly resort of St Annes-on-the-Sea. A mere half mile from the sandy seafront and promenade are ample amenities, with the continental and spacious St Annes Square just around the corner. Pride of place on the seafront, you’ll find the laughing statue of the late, great Les Dawson, and on the other side of Fairhaven Lake, you’ll find the neighbouring town of Lytham. In Blackpool try your luck in the amusements, or if you are a thrill seeker then spend the day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach theme park, there is also a Madame Tussauds. There are many walking routes from the property with the most popular being Wolfhole Crag and the trail of the Way of the Roses. There are many things to do in this location to suit all family and friends, having Lytham House as your base is the best way to finish off the day!

Located in the rural hamlet of Moss Side on the outskirts of wonderfully cosmopolitan Lytham, this wonderful complex of six holiday cottages provide a perfect base for friends and family alike wanting a fabulous seaside getaway. Newly renovated in 2022 they’re set around a pretty courtyard and surrounded by superb countryside despite being just 3 miles from the coast.
There’s a variety of single and two-storey cottages all comfortably accommodating four guests, plus an additional three bedroom cottage that comes complete with hot tub. Careful thought and design has gone into each of the conversions making great use of original features where possible. Large windows have also been included to many of the open plan living arrangements to ensure a bright and airy space, and to really make the most of the countryside views.
The centre of ‘Leafy Lytham’ is less than 3 miles away, or a 4 minute train journey from Moss Side station which is around a 10 minute walk. Lytham is a lovely seaside town where you can enjoy everything from fish and chips to fine dining plus lots of coffee shops. It’s famed for its iconic ‘Windmill on the Green’, as well as the annual Lytham Festival and Lytham Proms. A direct train service will also take you to neighbouring St Annes in 10 minutes where you’ll find a huge beautiful sandy beach, and then in 20 minutes you’ll reach Blackpool. Blackpool is home to a massive amount of tourist attractions including Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Tower, the Sandcastle Water Park, SEA LIFE Blackpool and of course the annual illuminations light show.
For any golfers, there’s plenty of championship courses in the area and the reeds and marshes of the Ribble Estuary are popular with birdwatchers and wildlife lovers. Swapping the coast once more for countryside, slightly further afield the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the South Lakes can be reached within an hour. Beach 5 miles.
