This lovely, cosy, semi-detached holiday cottage is within the peaceful hamet of Nether Dallachy, just a mile from Spey Bay on the beautiful Moray coast. Styled in a mixture of antique and contemporary fittings, the cottage is all on one level and makes a good choice for the less able bodied too, as there is direct access into the house from the French doors at the rear which open onto a small enclosed sitting area with lovely views across the fields. Spey Bay is home to the National Whale and Dolphin Centre and is a wonderful area for spotting many species of wildlife including minke whales, bottlenose dolphins, ospreys, seals and much more. There are spectacular views over the sea towards the mountains of Caithness from the long shingle beach, and the world famous Spey Bay Golf Club is at the other end. For walkers, the Speyside Way passes close by and runs from Buckie on the shore of the Moray coast to Aviemore. The Whisky Trail is nearby and there are good fishing opportunities on the River Spey itself. If all this activity is too much, just relax by the woodburner and enjoy the peace. Beach 1 mile. This lovely, semi-detached Grade B listed cottage has a great location in the heart of Cullen on the beautiful Moray Coast. Perfect for friends or a family getaway, it has been lovingly restored whilst retaining its original steep staircase and low ceiling features, and the multi-level garden has a view of the sea through the viaduct. Just ¼ mile from the beach with many walks in the surrounding area, this cottage is perfectly situated for all the local attractions.

Cullen is a wonderful little village, a real treasure trove of cute shops and cafés, and a perfect place to spend some time. Don’t forget to try the local speciality, Cullen skink. The neighbouring villages are well worth a visit and golf can be found nearby also. Further afield, Elgin and Inverness can be reached easily for a day out. Beach ¼ mile. The Bothy at Willowbank is our lovely cosy holiday cottage for two at the rear of Willowbank Guesthouse in Grantown on Spey. A tranquil setting, but nearly in the middle of village life. It features an open plan living area, a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom with large shower, washbasin and toilet, and a double bedroom. You will find The Bothy is a perfect base to stay and explore the surrounding area. Walks, whisky distilleries, and castles are at your doorstep. Just for hibernating, the Bothy is ideal as well. Although you can keep in touch with the outside world, as the cottage has its own Wi-Fi connection. There also is a flat screen television and a BD/DVD player.
Grantown on Spey is part of the Cairngorms National Park. From Grantown you can travel in all directions and explore a large part of the northeast of Scotland, including the famous Speyside whisky distilleries; even Scotland’s west coast can be visited on a day trip.

On the first floor there is a shower room and two bedrooms; one with a double and a single bed, and one with a kingsize bed. Outside there is a lawned garden and on-site parking for 1 car.

Grantown-on-Spey is situated halfway between the Cairngorm and Lecht ski areas. This location is very popular in winter with skiers and snowboarders. The town has a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars which are all just a short walk from the cottage. There is a superb 18-hole golf course, and the Grantown Heritage Museum is worth a visit. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Portknockie is a great place for walkers and those who love to take in the local scenery. The neighbouring village of Cullen, about 2 miles away, is very much worth a visit. The local delicacy of cullen skink (a thick soup made with smoked haddock, potatoes and onions) is very historical and a great dish to try. You can take a boat trip on the Gemini Explorer to search for dolphins in the Moray Firth from Buckie, a working fishing town about 4 miles away. Or, further afield at Spey Bay, you will find the popular Scottish Dolphin Centre and Nature Reserve. The famous Speyside Whisky Trail is also within easy reach and should not be missed.
