If you like, you can walk to Holt from the cottage along a footpath with lovely views back over the Glaven Valley. You can also explore Holt Country Park, a 100-acre woodland with picnic areas, nature trails and a playground or catch a Poppy Line steam or diesel train to Weybourne and Sheringham from the North Norfolk railway station just outside Holt in the season. In July, Holt Festival brings the best in street performers, musicians, poets, actors, dancers, artists and comedians to the town.
