The home town of the Stan Laurel, half of the famous comedy duo Laurel and Hardy celebrates his birth with The Laurel and Hardy Museum and ‘Another fine fest’, one of the many festivals and events available in the town throughout the year. The beautiful South Lakes area offers a wide selection of breath-taking walks and cycle routes or for the less energetic amongst you there is something for everyone from Michelin starred restaurants, to steam trains, lake cruises, wildlife parks, stately homes, horse racing or even escape rooms.
