Bedw Lodge (UK32021) and Glyn Haul (UK32022) have been built and furnished in 2020 to a high standard and they have beautiful views with decking and a garden for your four legged friends. Both properties have an outside marble bath tub perfect for gazing at the stars in the evening with a glass of wine. There is plenty to see and do in the area and it is an ideal location for exploring the borderlands of England and Wales, which is an area of pretty countryside and charming market towns. Llanidloes is a typical market town where local goods and produce are readily available, and the town itself boasts plenty of good quality restaurants and bars. Superb walking and cycling is available locally. The lodges are located 150 yards from cycle route 81 so it’s an ideal base for those exploring on two wheels. Llanidloes has over 30 separate way marked walking routes starting from the town centre. The spectacular scenery at Llyn Clywedog, a man-made reservoir just above the town along with Hafren Forest where you will find the source of the River Severn, also affords wonderful walking opportunities. The magnificent Elan Valley reservoirs are just 35 minutes away. And if mountains are your thing, Cadair Idris can be reached in under 1hour, Snowdonia in under 2 hours, and the Brecon Beacons in approximately 1hour 20minutes. Set in an elevated position enjoying beautiful views of the Mid Wales countryside. Peacefully located just 1½ miles from the centre of Newtown, a bustling market town situated on the banks of the River Severn famous for its arts and music, with museums, art galleries and a theatre, as well as providing a wealth of shopping and dining opportunities.

This lovely lodge is set next to another lodge on site (UK35188- Hillside Hideaway). This is also wonderful walking and birdwatching country with numerous activities available nearby including golf, fishing and riding - a perfect location for exploring the borderlands of England and Wales, southern Snowdonia and Aberystwth’s seaside attractions.

On site the owners have a fantastic herd of Alpacas and they offer guests the opportunity to participate in alpaca trekking around the land that surrounds the properties. This needs to be booked direct with the owner and paid for in advance. The land that surrounds the lodges is elevated and takes in stunning views which guests can use to relax in. Set on one level, this property is fully open plan. The kitchen includes fridge, electric cooker, hob and sink and there is a dining table within the lodge. There are three single beds and a shower room which includes a shower cubicle, toilet and sink. There is a private sitting area with garden furniture to the front of the property with a barbecue. A breakfast hamper made up of local produce is available on request at £6 per person (minimum order for 2).

Nestled alongside ancient woodland, the lodge sits at the top of a large grazing field with a variety of animals wandering past from sheep and their lambs to calves and horses. The animals are separated from the grounds of the lodge but provide a charming outlook as they amble cheerily through the meadows. Visitors are welcome to witness the farming activities on the owner’s farm. Lambing, feeding lambs or calves can be arranged on request. When you take a second to stop and listen, the air is infused with a soothing babble of the Brechan brook and the chatter of woodland birds in the trees.
The site’s natural value is reinforced by the blossoming population of barn owls and red kites. Endangered red kites are seen flying daily overhead from their nesting sites in the woods behind, while at night hear the hypnotic hoot of owls hunting in the darkness. The natural murmurings of this wild location offer a sense of wild serenity, which is seldom found.
