It is situated in a quiet and peaceful area close to the towns of Newtown and Welshpool, which both host an array of shops, bars and restaurants. Nearby are the popular tourist attractions of Powis Castle and Glansevern Hall gardens, both offering a great day out for guests. Tregynon has a village shop and the local area provides lovely walks and cycle trails, castles, mansions and gardens, a variety of outdoor pursuits, four golf courses and visits to Newtown, Welshpool, Ludlow and Shrewsbury.

Set in an elevated position enjoying beautiful views of the Mid Wales countryside. Peacefully located just 1½ miles from the centre of Newtown, a bustling market town situated on the banks of the River Severn famous for its arts and music, with museums, art galleries and a theatre, as well as providing a wealth of shopping and dining opportunities.

This lovely lodge is set next to another lodge on site (UK35188- Hillside Hideaway). This is also wonderful walking and birdwatching country with numerous activities available nearby including golf, fishing and riding - a perfect location for exploring the borderlands of England and Wales, southern Snowdonia and Aberystwth’s seaside attractions.

On site the owners have a fantastic herd of Alpacas and they offer guests the opportunity to participate in alpaca trekking around the land that surrounds the properties. This needs to be booked direct with the owner and paid for in advance. The land that surrounds the lodges is elevated and takes in stunning views which guests can use to relax in. Set on one level, this property is fully open plan. The kitchen includes fridge, electric cooker, hob and sink and there is a dining table within the lodge. There are three single beds and a shower room which includes a shower cubicle, toilet and sink. There is a private sitting area with garden furniture to the front of the property with a barbecue. A breakfast hamper made up of local produce is available on request at £6 per person (minimum order for 2).

Set in the pretty village of Trefeglws, Chateau Petit is a detached lodge that offers guests a quiet and peaceful spot to unwind. Set on the grounds of the owner’s own property, it is surrounded by the scenery of the Severn Valley with views from the property. Standing detached, with a large attractive enclosed garden, picnic furniture and decked seating area just outside the front door this property is ideal for guests looking for a peaceful retreat. Chateau Petit is set on one level with a kitchen/living area with a small dining area which is perfect for creating a romantic meal for two. The bedroom has a double bed and hanging space and cupboards for clothes. Great for doggy holidays too! With one small dog welcome, there is plenty of secure space in the large garden and a small paddock to run around as long as owner is in attendance and dog kept in view.
Llanidloes, voted one of the most desirable places to live in Wales is just 5 miles and hosts an array of bars, shops and restaurants including takeaways. Trefeglwys includes a pub and shop also a new restaurant or pizza bar with beautiful grounds to walk with pools and great outdoor eating opportunities too. Dog friendly 10 min walk from Chatea Petit. Being set just 5 miles north of Llanidloes, it makes an ideal base for touring Mid Wales. There is much to see and do within the area for even the most active of guests including beautiful walks on Bryn Y Fan and Hafren Forest enjoying the stunning scenery, the Clywedog Reservoir offers a range of fishing or slightly further afield there is the Elan Valley Dams at Rhayader. Beautiful seaside town of Aberdyfi withe fantastic beach only 50 minutes away. Shop, pub and restaurant 5 miles away.

The animals are separated from the grounds of the lodge but provide a charming outlook as they amble cheerily through the meadows. Visitors are welcome to witness the farming activities on the owner’s farm. Lambing, feeding lambs or calves can be arranged on request. When you take a second to stop and listen, the air is infused with a soothing babble of the Brechan brook and the chatter of woodland birds in the trees.
The site’s natural value is reinforced by the blossoming population of barn owls and red kites. Endangered red kites are seen flying daily overhead from their nesting sites in the woods behind, while at night hear the hypnotic hoot of owls hunting in the darkness.
