Bockenfield Country Park isn’t huge so its nice to meet new friends with it’s own children’s play park on-site with a huge pirate ship and a zip wire that children of all ages will love to explore. Ideally located near the A1 between Morpeth and Alnwick, the park is just a short drive to the stunning beaches along the Northumberland coastline. With Alnwick only 9 miles you can visit the stunning gardens and castle, famed for the scenes in Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. The Heritage Coast is a short drive with miles of golden sands, friendly villages and is peppered with historic castles. Inland you have Hadrian’s Wall, which is worth a day trip to visit one of the Roman forts.
