Originally a chapel, the building dates back to the 1900s and is located next to the stream and pool where villagers were baptised. Chapelburn is a detached cottage which has undergone a unique and innovative conversion transforming it into a very spacious holiday home. The hot tub on the elevated decking outside adds to the experience, and taking a plunge in the waterfall fed plunge pool before getting toasty in the sauna will create holiday memories that last. To take full advantage of the south facing location, the decking with clear balustrades is along the full length of the front of the cottage and the ground floor rooms all have doors leading onto the decking with dining table for al fresco dining. There are also three well-presented bedrooms with patio doors leading onto the decking area. On the first floor, the two further super kingsize bedrooms benefit from balcony windows providing great views. There is lots to do in the area and the conservation village of Kenmore at the east end of Loch Tay has a shingle beach and great views down the loch where guests can enjoy water sports, loch cruises or maybe a spot of fishing. There is a local shop, a post office, deli, the oldest inn in Scotland, restaurants and the Cranog, a reconstruction of an Iron Age stilt dwelling built over the water. Kenmore hosts a traditional ceremony each January to mark the opening of the salmon season on the loch. This area is well known for outdoor activities with lots of walking and climbing opportunities available. Fearnan is at one end of the Tay Forest Park and leads to the hamlet of Fortingall, home of the Fortingall Yew, the oldest tree in Europe. At the far end of the loch is Killin and the Falls of Dochart, and a superb drive from here to the Bridge of Balgie leads to the top of Glen Lyon, the longest in Scotland. Golf is widely available throughout the region as well as horse riding, fishing, quad biking, bird-watching and cycling. Guests can take a Highland safari exploring the mountains, spot local wildlife including deer, visit whisky distilleries, historic castles and gardens. Cosy up in this charming semi-detached cottage in a marvellous secluded position on the outskirts of Pitlochry. The delightfully comfortable interior and extensive gardens have all you want for a relaxing holiday. Ideal for both couples or families there is a double bedroom and a second bedroom with a double and a single bed, for various sleeping options. The sitting room with its wood burner leads into a well-equipped kitchen with access to the raised garden. The views are marvellous from the decking and hot tub, towards Edradour and the hills beyond, while to the front of the house, a small sunroom leads onto a patio, which catches the afternoon sun.
On the Pitlochry Path network, the cottage is on the doorstep of the dramatic Black Spout Waterfall walk, on the Edradour Path, one of several woodland walks in the immediate vicinity. Explore the many walks through this beautiful area, with routes through nearby Moulin and into Pitlochry itself or through miles of woodland and along banks of lochs and rivers, or up the nearby mountains and hills, including Ben Vrackie. Pitlochry itself is just a few minutes drive and is a year-round destination with many attractions throughout the year. Visit Pitlochry Dam and the Fish Ladder, with an excellent exhibition downstairs, interactive models on how electricity is created and salmon swimming up the fish ladder itself.
The town is home to the Caledonia Etape, an 81-mile circular cycle challenge, which traverses some of the most beautiful parts of Highland Perthshire. In the autumn, the Enchanted Forest is a real spectacle and well worth seeing, while the famous Theatre in the Hills, Pitlochry Festival Theatre has productions throughout the year. There really is something for everyone here in this fantastic part of Perthshire!

In an idyllic rural location, set up a farm track this delightful cottage is located just a few miles outside the town of Blairgowrie. Take a dip in the hot tub, enjoy the panoramic views from the front garden over the farmland and just switch off and relax from the hustle of working life. Inside there is plenty of space to spread out, with a comfortable living space for adults and children and a good size kitchen/dining room with all modern facilities. Whether you want to walk, ski, fish, cycle, shop or simply relax, it’s all on offer in the surrounding area of beautiful Perthshire. Blairgowrie known for its soft fruit production, in particular raspberries, and is a popular town with golfers and anglers; the River Ericht flows through and Rosemount Golf Club is one of the most highly regarded in the UK. It is also the main start point for the 60-mile circular Cateran Trail that walkers can follow around the historic drove roads used by cattle rustlers.

Further north there is a quick and easy access to Royal Deeside and the Scottish Highlands beyond. Ideally placed for day trips to many of Scotland’s favourite attractions within Angus, Perthshire, Fife and beyond, all four of Scotland’s major cities; Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen are all within easy reach, as are the Highland Perthshire towns of Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Aberfeldy.

Surrounding the property are two peaceful woodland areas bursting with wildlife including deer, ospreys, otters and red squirrels, which are regularly seen from the lounge and kitchen windows of the property. The owners welcome you to explore the woods which are criss-crossed with winding paths and seating areas. There is also a fishing lake which guests can make use of, not to mention the attractive ruins of Glasclune Castle also within the grounds, a Grade I Historic Building.
If you can tear yourself away, there are easy to moderate walks locally, more strenuous ones within driving distance in the Angus Glens and on and off road cycle tracks nearby. The Cateran Trail, a circuit through Perthshire and Angus glens, can be joined at the end of Woodside’s drive. In addition, many castles, stately homes and gardens abound in the vicinity including Glamis and Scone Palace. If you were to book Woodside in the winter months, the road leading up to the property is an upwards hill, this is mainly suited for four wheel drive vehicles but any other may find it difficult to climb. Blairgowrie has a good selection of places to eat, drink and shop as well as the Cargill’s Leap landmark to the north of the town. For golfers there are almost too many courses to mention but notably St Andrews, Carnoustie, Rosemount (in Blairgowrie itself) and Gleneagles are within an hour’s drive. Winter skiing is available at Glenshee or for more relaxed days out explore the cities of Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh, all within easy reach.

If you are planning to eat out on your holiday Crieff has a varied selection of places to eat, an excellent deli and café selling local produce if you are planning to cook, craft shops, galleries and supermarkets. The town hosts regular events throughout the year including The Crieff Highland Games and the autumn Drovers Walking Festival and farmers market. Perthshire is well known for outdoor activities for all ages. More strenuous activities in the mountains such as Ben Vorlich, Ben Chonzie and Ben Lawers provide challenging walks. Nearby Loch Earn has water sports as well as mountain biking at nearby Comrie Croft. There are gentle strolls by the riverside along the banks of the River Earn and Turret from the front door and the local park has a children’s play area. Discover the history of Crieff with tales of the outlaws and the Jacobite rebellion, visit historic castles and monuments and if you have been following the TV series ’Outlander’, Drummond Castle gardens are within 5 miles, as are plenty of the locations used in the series, including Doune Castle and Hopetoun House all within driving distance. For a family day out Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is a short drive with a children’s play area.
