    The town is home to the Caledonia Etape, an 81-mile circular cycle challenge, which traverses some of the most beautiful parts of Highland Perthshire. In the autumn, the Enchanted Forest is a real spectacle and well worth seeing, while the famous Theatre in the Hills, Pitlochry Festival Theatre has productions throughout the year.     If you can tear yourself away, there are easy to moderate walks locally, more strenuous ones within driving distance in the Angus Glens and on and off road cycle tracks nearby. The Cateran Trail, a circuit through Perthshire and Angus glens, can be joined at the end of Woodside’s drive. In addition, many castles, stately homes and gardens abound in the vicinity including Glamis and Scone Palace. If you were to book Woodside in the winter months, the road leading up to the property is an upwards hill, this is mainly suited for four wheel drive vehicles but any other may find it difficult to climb.
