Lightkeeper’s Rest is tucked away down a quiet lane in the harbour town of Anstruther and has been furnished and equipped to a very good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible. You enter the cottage into the attractive kitchen/dining room which has been equipped for preparing a family meal. There are two well presented bedrooms, one which has an en-suite shower room and kingsize bed, and the other with twin beds. The bright, first floor living room is cosy and welcoming with comfortable seating and sea views.
Just a short walk takes you to the bustling harbour front with local boats landing their catch and leisure boats. There is plenty of place along the front to take refreshment from local bar, cafés and an award-winning fish and chip restaurant. Anstruther has cobbled lanes and historic buildings to explore, as well as two sandy beaches and rock pools. From April to September there are daily ferries and boat trips leaving from the harbour side to the Isle of May National Nature Reserve, which is home to colonies of sea birds, including puffins, and the surrounding waters are the habitat of seal colonies, a great day out for all.
Enjoy lovely walks along the Fife Coast Path which passes through Anstruther, leading to secluded coves, picturesque fishing villages and award-winning white sandy beaches. For a day out, St Andrews is well worth a visit with lots to do to suit all ages. There is a Sea Life Centre, sandy beach and harbour, great shopping with local shops as well as high street names, restaurants, pubs, bistros, historic buildings and museums. If you like a round of golf on your holiday, St Andrews is world famous as being the home of golf, with a family-friendly course as well as championship courses to play. Even more locally, the charming 9-hole Anstruther course is a four minute walk from the cottage.

Little Gem is an attractive ground floor apartment situated on a quiet, very small, residential estate, beside Ravenscraig Castle and Park in the coastal town of Kirkcaldy. The apartment benefits from stunning views of the ancient castle and across the Firth of Forth. You can hear the waves lapping on the beach when the windows are open. An ideal location for a couple or small family at any time of the year the apartment is comfortable and well appointed. There is a king sized bed with a built-in TV in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The coffee table in the living room easily converts to a dining room table and the kitchen is well-equipped for preparing a meal. It is a joy to look out of either the living-room or kitchen window and see the views. There are also grass areas and shrubbery around this small estate.
A short stroll from the apartment takes you into Ravenscraig Park, which has beautiful coastal walks and plenty of facilities for children. You can follow the Fife Coastal Route in either direction, Dysart Harbour which featured on the TV series Outlander is only a 20-minute walk along the shore and the opposite direction to the attractive seaside towns of Burntisland and Aberdour, white sandy beaches and walks along the cliffs. Kirkcaldy has lots of place to eat and places to shop and a walk or jog along the esplanade is highly recommended. In April the town hosts Europe’s longest street fair, The Adam Smith Theatre offers a regular programme all year and Kirkcaldy Galleries is well worth a visit with national collections of work to view including local artist Jack Vettriano. A day out in Edinburgh is only 25 minutes away by train from the local station over the majestic Forth Rail Bridge into the city centre, ideal if you or attending one of the many shows, events and festivals throughout the year. Ardvar is a charming two-bedroom, ground floor property situated right in the centre of the charming fishing village of Crail.

Crail is a fascinating fishing village on the East Neuk of Fife, featuring cobbled streets that tumble down to a tiny harbour protected by cliffs and surrounded by historic cottages. The Harbour Front is a popular destination for ice cream and a stroll to see the fishing boats, as well as for exploring the timeless streets within the village during the summer months when the Crail Food Festival is held. Not forgetting the popular annual Arts and Crafts Festival held in the nearby village of Pittenweem.

There is a drop off area to the side of the property for those who may have difficulty with the steps.

Pittenweem is a charming fishing village in the East Neuk of Fife. The harbour is the main focus of the village, particularly early each morning when the fishing boats return with their catch and the daily fish market gets underway. Many of the picturesque houses around the harbour are of traditional Fife design with red pantile or grey-slate roofs with crow-step gables and have been restored by the National Trust for Scotland.
