Bramble Cottage is a deceptively spacious, semi-detached, single-storey cottage situated in the very heart of the popular seaside town of Leven, with the owner living next door. Built in 1900 as the local shop and post office, the cottage has under gone a full renovation to provide contemporary, good quality, self-catering, holiday accommodation suitable for a couple. If you would like to arrive at this lovely cottage with a bottle of whisky, prosecco or groceries waiting in the fridge, this can be supplied by prior arrangement with the owner, at cost.

Ideal for a seaside break, from your front door you are just minutes’ walk to the long sandy beach and promenade with great views over the Firth of Forth to the East Lothian coast. The promenade provides activities to suit all with amusement arcades, putting green, crazy golf, play areas, festival gardens park, Leven leisure pool and regular events including the Summer Prom Festival with live music. The local shops, cafés, bars and restaurants are all within a short walk. For guests who enjoy walking, Letham Glen and Silverburn offer woodland walks and the Fife Coastal Path passes through the town and is ideal for exploring the coast on foot, discovering the picturesque fishing villages and beautiful sandy beaches and coves.
A great location for golfers of all abilities with 3 courses within walking distance, including Leven Links Course, which is the qualifying course when the Open is played at St Andrews. Quietly situated in the charming village of Ceres, 8 miles from the magnificent beaches and championship golf courses at St Andrews, these two holiday cottages, adjacent to each other, have been stylishly converted from a listed building to create a superb holiday base. There are excellent footpaths for walking and cycling with stunning views of coast and countryside, whilst the Tents Muir National Nature Reserve has a fabulous walk along the beach to Tentsmuir Point where hundreds of seals can be seen basking on the sandbars. Visit The Eden Estuary Centre and Morton Lochs and watch waterfowl from dedicated bird hides. St Andrews itself is steeped in history and has a comprehensive range of shops, restaurants, tearooms, museum and the Sea Life Centre. Situated on the harbour front in Pittenweem, one of the prettiest fishing ports in Fife, Harbour Apartment is a first floor cosy apartment with spectacular views over the harbour, Bass Rock, Isle of May and Firth of Forth. Explore the quaint lanes of this picturesque village or visit St Fillan’s Cave, with its holy well, which at one time was used by smugglers. Pittenweem is a renowned centre for artists and craftsmen, who celebrate their skills during the Arts Festival every August.
Cycling and walking can be enjoyed along the Fife Coastal Path, which gives many opportunities to explore coastal villages and visit the excellent beach that this area is well known for. This charming, bijou, terraced cottage with a red pantile roof, dating back to 1780 when it was a weavers cottage, is located in the centre of the historic picturesque village of Ceres. Well Cottage has been thoughtfully furnished for comfort and ease, and is the perfect location for a relaxing retreat for a couple. There are excellent cycling and footpaths from the cottage door and the Fife Folk Museum is across the road, as well as the village green. This conservation village has a good pub and a hotel serving food, tea rooms, an antique shop, a family butchers, village store and the renowned Wemyss Ware Pottery. Scotland’s oldest highland games are held on the last Saturday in June. The picture-postcard East Neuk of Fife with fishing villages and sandy beaches are within easy driving distance, and St Andrews is only seven miles away and well worth a visit. This area is renowned for its golf, with a multitude of excellent courses within easy reach. Trout fishing is available locally (licence required). Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth are all within an hour’s drive. When you return to the cottage after exploring the area, you can sit back with a glass of wine in front of the cosy fire.
