Surrounding the property are two peaceful woodland areas bursting with wildlife including deer, ospreys, otters and red squirrels, which are regularly seen from the lounge and kitchen windows of the property. The owners welcome you to explore the woods which are criss-crossed with winding paths and seating areas. In addition, many castles, stately homes and gardens abound in the vicinity including Glamis and Scone Palace. If you were to book Woodside in the winter months, the road leading up to the property is an upwards hill, this is mainly suited for four wheel drive vehicles but any other may find it difficult to climb. Blairgowrie has a good selection of places to eat, drink and shop as well as the Cargill’s Leap landmark to the north of the town. For golfers there are almost too many courses to mention but notably St Andrews, Carnoustie, Rosemount (in Blairgowrie itself) and Gleneagles are within an hour’s drive. Winter skiing is available at Glenshee or for more relaxed days out explore the cities of Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh, all within easy reach.
