Facilities include a travel cot (spare linen available), highchair, changing mat, booster seat, bed guard, baby bath and a baby monitor. Even meal preparation has been considered too, with a hand-held food blender and bottle steriliser on hand. There are no low-level glass doors and all lower units are fitted with child locks. Westburn is truly the ideal retreat for greater peace of mind.

Great for walkers and cyclists of all abilities, from your front door there are many established public footpaths and cycle paths that lead directly out into the heart of rural Perthshire. The River Earn runs through the village and provides the perfect landscape for an afternoon stroll. For a more exhilarating walk, head to the Deil’s Cauldron where the River Lednoch cascades through a rocky gorge. There is a very scenic golf course, fishing, bowling and Loch Earn, 6 miles away, offering sailing and watersports.

For a family day out Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is a short drive away and has much to offer all ages with a children’s play area, covered walkway to view the wildlife and a restaurant. Give your car a holiday too as there is much to do on foot from your front door. Look no further than this gorgeous cottage for your next holiday in Perthshire, set down a very peaceful street in the popular market town of Blairgowrie, this delightful cottage is a rare find and a real gem. Although very quiet, the cottage is only a few minutes’ walk to the town, where you will find lots of interesting shops, cafés, good restaurants and leisure facilities including two championship courses in the town and an abundance of other courses nearby each with its own special character, as well as internationally famous Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie a bit further afield. There are picturesque walks along the River Ericht running through the town, which join up with the Ardblair and Cateran Trails.
Ideally situated for exploring the many delights Perthshire has to offer, whether it’s golf, walking, cycling, or visiting local attractions like Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the list is endless. The ski slopes at Glenshee are a short drive and the cities of Perth, Dundee or Edinburgh as well as the House of Bruar and Pitlochry are well worth a visit for some retail therapy. It is 5 minutes’ walk to the local post office and general store, riverside pub, restaurants and an award-winning chocolatier with coffee shop and gifts. Close by there is a children’s play park. Home grocery deliveries are made by some supermarkets. On the southern edge of the Cairngorms National Park, the cottage offers a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty, making it the ideal escape from city life. Gushat Cottage, built around 1865, was developed from two separate buildings, cleverly joined together to make a unique family home.
Perfect for a family or group of six, this pleasant home boasts a warm and inviting open plan kitchen and dining area, and a comfortable living room with wood burner. Additional fridge/freezer and drying pulley in the walk-in cupboard off the hall. Sit at the kitchen table and watch the red squirrels and a myriad of birds feeding at the bird table in the secluded garden outside. Enter the cottage via the hallway and to the right is the lovely kitchen with open plan dining area. This leads to a large bright twin bedded room with en-suite walk-in shower and toilet. An attractive stairway leads up to the double bedroom and traditional en-suite bathroom with handheld shower and toilet. Across the hallway to the other side of the house is the living room with feature fireplace and wood burner. Overhead are the original wooden rafters. Another attractive stairway leads to the library with comfortable wing chair, small office desk for reading or catching up on emails. The cottage is warm and beautifully decorated and is a truly lovely place to stay.
You are surrounded by wonderful walks for all levels, cycling opportunities, golf, and water sports on the River Tay at Grandtully. The popular market town of Aberfeldy is a 15 minute drive west. There you will find the distillery with visitor centre, cafe, tours and tastings, the Co-op supermarket/fuel station and an impressive array of local shops, bars, and restaurants. Don’t miss the famous Watermill bookshop and café. The Birks Community cinema screens the latest film releases. Golf, tennis, and an indoor swimming pool are available, as well as an impressive children’s play park.
Continue 10 miles west and you come to the breathtaking landscapes of Kenmore and Loch Tay with its popular water sports centres and marina. The bustling town of Pitlochry is 9 miles to the east of the cottage and a further 11 miles north is the House of Bruar which attracts visitors and shoppers from far and wide. Nearby castles –Blair and Menzies – add historic interest and cultural events.

This area of Highland Perthshire is well known for outdoor activities with white water rafting, fishing, golf, cycling and hill walking available nearby. The ground floor is taken up with a spacious living room, the real hub of the house, which has cosy seating. A dining room leads off there, and there is also a modern fitted kitchen. The back door leads to a small courtyard with seating and a barbeque for al fresco eating. The first floor has three well-presented, spacious bedrooms: one kingsize, one double and one twin. The family shower room offers a large walk-in shower.
Step outside and the local pub, cafés and restaurants are a few minutes’ walk away. If you’re planning to cook, the village is known for its quality local butcher, greengrocer, baker and deli, and there is also a small supermarket.
