Millers Loft has been thoughtfully decorated by the owners, with its bright colour scheme creating a calming air to relax in. Upon entering, guests will notice the open plan living area, making it a great space to relax in and socialise. To the right-hand side are the stairs up to the mezzanine with the comfy double bed. The kitchen is well-equipped and comes with everything you will need for your stay, along with a dining table and four chairs. The children get to enjoy the bunk bedroom, and there’s a bright family bathroom. Trees and greenery are dotted throughout the lawn area, outdoor seating, and plenty to see. There’s a well, a pond and a wonderful feeling of being in nature.
A few minutes’ drive down the road is Pontesbury, you’ll find Earl’s Hill Nature reserve and Pontfords hill, the village also has a butcher, deli, supermarket, hairdressers, and a few takeaway restaurants. Shrewsbury is full of finds to be discovered by foot or by boat, the River Severn is a must, as is the café culture, farmer’s market, the castle, and the churches that dominate Shrewsbury’s famous skyline, only a ten-minute drive. Further afield takes you to the medieval market town of Ludlow, famous for its castle as well as many food and drink festivals throughout the year to enjoy. Take a trip to the town of Bridgnorth, home to The Severn Valley Steam Railway, explore the World Heritage Site of the Ironbridge Gorge or discover the numerous National Trust properties of Attingham Park, Benthall Hall, Sunnycroft House and Carding Mill Valley all within easy reach.

Sleeping up to twelve guests, this detached Arts and Crafts home has been revived to expose the house’s original character by restoring every detail. The owners have worked tirelessly over the last three years to create a charming mixture of traditional features and stylish interiors.

A spacious entrance hall greets you; the main stairway leads to the upper floor giving access to the west wing bedrooms. The property has six elegant en-suite bedrooms, each offering something unique, from feature fireplaces and antique beds to window seats. Stunning views of the grounds can be seen from all bedrooms, five of which are on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The living area comprises two spacious reception rooms with rich textures and quality furnishings. The living room features a wood burner, and the snug has an open fire along with an Oled TV. To the right of the entrance hall is a large, fully fitted kitchen with an Aga and central island. There is also a large rectangular dining table and swing back benches. The formal dining room features a contemporary library. The games room offers a 3/4 sized snooker/pool table, a games console and TV. A utility room and ground floor toilet complete the accommodation.
Outside is a large garden room, perfect for al fresco dining or relaxing. The glazing on two sides allows you to take in the wonderful views of the Shropshire hills in the distance whilst sheltered from the weather. There is a sunken lawn surrounded by flower beds. Guests can also explore 150 acres of beautiful grounds with park land, lawned garden, a private lake and surrounding fields.
The local village of Baschurch offers a small supermarket, two pubs, and a post office, within walking distance. With Shrewsbury approximately 20 minutes’ drive away, there’s a variety of things to do making it a great day out. Shrewsbury is full of finds to be discovered by foot or boat, the River Severn is a must, as is the café culture, the castle, the old market hall featuring local artists and lovely shops and eateries. There’s a produce and farmers’ market held regularly in the square, as well as a fantastic theatre. Visit Ironbridge Gorge, home of the world’s oldest working cast-iron bridge. Ramble through the Shropshire Hills, enjoying the countryside as you go. You can also drive your own steam train or dine in style on the Severn Valley Railway. Or venture over to the iconic foodie town of Ludlow.

This detached lodge is set in the grounds of former historic estate and overlooks ground belonging to the owner, and is set just across from a historic walled garden. There is a very popular local pub in the village within walking and driving distance.
The property is located just outside the village of Baschurch, which is near Oswestry and Shrewsbury, both of which have a number of boutique shops, bars and restaurants for visitors to choose from. The area has much to see and do for all guests, including a selection of museums and art galleries, and the Theatre Severn which stages musicals, dramas and live concerts. The owner has friendly pet pigs, dogs and horses.

Situated on the owner’s farm in the pretty hamlet of Betton Strange, only two miles from the town centre of Shrewsbury. The barns at Bretton Alkmere Farm are perfect for a family get together or a friend’s holiday with plenty of luxurious extras. There are Smart TVs with Netflix if you fancy a movie night. Each of the barns come with enclosed gardens and patios, with breathtaking views of the surrounding Shropshire countryside and plenty of parking for everyone. In addition to the fabulous accommodation, the owners offer you a luxury hamper and if there’s availability the children can be shown around the farm. High Bank was renovated in June 2023 and rests in front of Pontesford and Earl’s Hills in the beautiful Shropshire village of Pontesbury. Facing south, and slightly elevated, the views stretch out over the Shropshire countryside which is by far the best views in the village.
