Welcome to TH Hollow, a beautiful single storey stable conversion in the heart of the Somerset countryside at the foot of the Quantock Hills. Completed in 2021 and finished to a high standard, there is a central open plan living/dining/kitchen which has a fabulous, vaulted ceiling, comfortable furnishings and comes well-equipped with everything you need for the perfect stay. The kitchen area has electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge while the living area has a 43” Smart TV, perfect for relaxing of an evening.
The bedrooms lead off from the central living area with the master having a king-sized bed and bedroom two having a single bed. The large wet room has non-slip flooring, heated towel rail and shower. From bedroom two you have direct access to the Gym with cross trainer, Sauna and further shower room. Ease of access here has been carefully considered, with ramps leading in from both the front and rear entrances as well as wider doors inside, making this wonderful holiday home suitable for all abilities. To the rear is a large, enclosed courtyard with garden furniture (through access may occasionally be required by the gardener for grounds maintenance) and access from here to the utility area with washing machine and bike store.
TH Hollow also has exclusive use of the owner’s fantastic hot tub, covered heated swimming pool and tennis court at pre-arranged times (9am -1pm unless otherwise agreed with owner). Please note that the swimming pool is available from late-April until Mid-October. Your four-legged family members are welcome here also and have use of the owners fenced dog walking paddock, the perfect spot to soak up the views while your dogs run off some energy!
Set just outside of the village of Bishops Lydeard, with its village pubs and local store as well as access to the brilliant West Somerset Steam Railway, a great way to see not just the countryside but also the coast while you chug merrily along to Minehead. Alight here and spend the day exploring the shops, restaurants and beach. The county town of Taunton is easily reachable within 15 minutes or head over to Exmoor and explore the wonderful villages, walk over the moors and have a cream tea in one of the many tea shops on route. Moorlands is a wonderful holiday home located in the charming village of Chilcompton, refurbished in 2022 to provide luxurious accommodation, perfect for all the family!


Pull into your driveway where Moorlands awaits you, step inside the hallway where the vaulted double height ceiling floods the room with light. There is a piano and reading nook to be enjoyed here.


The spacious living, dining and kitchen areas are open plan with wonderful views from the large patio doors over the garden. The living area has stunning feature wallpaper, lighting, comfortable yet stylish seating and an awesome real flame gas fireplace.


The dining area has a large table with ample seating and statement lighting while the fabulous well-equipped kitchen which includes a boiling water tap, wine fridge and designer extractor, shows the high level of fixtures and fittings you can expect. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite facilities, and a door leading to the garden with a terrace, perfect for your morning cuppa.

Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms which all lead off the galleried landing, one is a super king size bed which can be twin beds on request, one with a king size bed, one with double bed and another with double bed and single bunk on top. The two family bathrooms can be found on this floor, one with a large walk-in shower and the other, a large walk-in shower and stunning stone pebble shaped bath. Both bathrooms have been finished to the highest standard and offer luxury living. A hot tub can be hired (at a cost) with prior arrangement with the owner giving an extra feel of luxury to enjoy a little bit of R&R.


Heading outside, the extremely large garden is mainly laid to lawn, with 2 wonderful seating areas to enjoy. There is space for all the family to play endless games while around the side is a lovely vegetable garden which guests are welcome to use, and a hot and cold dog wash is provided for your convenience. A beautiful river runs around the garden of the property and care has been taken to enclose the garden, but children and animals should be supervised at all times.


Set between the cities of Bath and Wells, you will never tire of things to do while staying here! Bath with its fabulous architecture, riverside cafes, boutique shops and spas is a delightful day out, as is England’s smallest cathedral city of Wells with its outdoor market, cafés, and restaurants. Glastonbury is within easy reach with its ancient medieval charm and Tor, where you can see for miles and miles from the top. Head to Street’s designer outlet, Clarks Village, and grab a bargain. Wookey Hole Caves are a great day out for all the family and Cheddar Gorge and caves makes for a great day and has cheese, what more could you ask for! Pub and restaurant 704 yards.

Welcome to Staple Hill House, a fabulous 5-bedroom, characterful detached property set in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the glorious Somerset countryside with views extending as far as the Quantock Hills yet only 10 minutes’ drive from the county town of Taunton. Staple Hill House has its own entrance gate and is located next to the owner’s private stables. The immediate area is a walker’s or cyclist’s paradise with routes in every direction and offers easy access to the Staple Fitzpaine Herepath, a shared cycle and walking bridleway with a network of marked trails through forestry and open land of varying lengths to suit everyone and forms in total a 13 mile loop around the village of Staple Fitzpaine. The route primarily follows a series of off road tracks through wooded areas including Staple Park Wood, Piddle Wood and Birkenhall Wood. Castle Neroche and Staple Hill parks being of particular note where great walks and views can be enjoyed. Just ¾ of a mile away is the wonderful Greyhound Inn, a great country pub serving food and drinks, or a short drive takes you to a fabulous Italian restaurant as well as more amazing local inns!
The county town of Taunton is around 10 minutes’ drive away and has a host of shops, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. National Trust properties surround the area and the Great Somerset Steam Railway from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead is a must do for kids and adults. The seaside town of Lyme Regis on The Jurassic coast just over the Dorset border is a little over half an hour’s drive away. Shop 5 miles. Pub ¾ of a mile, restaurant 3 miles.

From the moment you drive through the gates, up the private driveway and Dronefield Lodge appears, you will know your holiday has begun in style!
The property now benefits from modern fly/insect screens which has been fitted on every window and door to make your stay more comfortable. Enter the large open plan Kitchen/Dining room/Lounge. Crickledown is set in the village of High Ham, just 3 miles from Langport. The Somerset levels are easily accessible as are many of Somersets other attractions. The towns of Taunton, Yeovil and Glastonbury are reached in under 30 minutes by car, with the latter being of note for its ancient historical links and of course the Tor which can be seen from Crickledowns windows. National Trust properties abound nearby and a fun day out for the family can be had on the West Somerset Steam Railway which runs from Bishops Lydeard to the seaside town of Minehead. Daisy Cottage at Manor Farm is a well-equipped cottage, set in an area of natural beauty in North Somerset. It is a superbly convenient holiday base for the world heritage city of Bath with its historic buildings, world famous theatre and river trips, and Bradford-On-Avon and its beautiful canals, as well as the city of Wells, Glastonbury Tor, Longleat House and Safari Park, Cheddar Gorge and caves, Stourhead and Wookey Hole. Close by is the village of Kilmersdon, home to the nursery rhyme Jack and Jill. Also the beautiful picturesque village of Mells is only 2.5 miles away. There are many wonderful country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area. There are several sandy and dramatic coastal beaches to the west and south, such as Lyme Regis, Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea.
