If you are coming with children, a day ticket can be purchased for Butlins on the seafront. Slightly further afield you have the ancient medieval town of Glastonbury with it’s Tor, or grab some bargains at Clarks Village designer outlet in Street. Why not jump on the train from Weston-super-Mare and explore the cities of Bath, with its architecture and spa, or Bristol, with its fabulous harbourside, shopping and castle green?

Set all on the ground floor, the living room is large and comfortable, and has many information leaflets and suggestions for places to visit and for walking a dog. The bedroom can be made up as a super kingsize bed or twin beds. A fitted kitchen, and spacious bathroom featuring an original bread oven which was found as the cottage was renovated, completes the picture.

Horseshoe Cottage is all on the ground floor with two small steps in the corridor. In addition to the large front garden, there is a small private enclosed garden with patio furniture, so that you can enjoy this tranquil position outside during the warmer months.

Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea and Brean Sands are just a 15-minute drive away whilst Cheddar Caves and Gorge, Wookey Hole, Longleat Safari Park and Exmoor National Park are a short journey. Situated less than five miles from a great variety of pubs, restaurants and take-aways, dining out poses no problem!

The village of Lympsham is just a leisurely ½ mile stroll away with a village shop open daily stocked with everyday items, This is next to Lympsham Pavilion, with a cafe offering delicious breakfasts and lunchtime meals and snacks (Monday-Saturday). You can sit outside during the summer months and watch cricket on the green. Lympsham Pavilion is also licensed and the bar is open every evening during the week and from 12pm weekends. Why not book a tennis court for an hour at the village sports club? There are excellent golf courses in the area and both coarse and sea fishing are available locally.

The wonderfully light and modern kitchen/diner comes extremely well equipped with a second Freeview TV, plus everything you need for a wonderful home-cooked meal, with an electric oven, gas 5 burner hob, and dishwasher. There’s also a utility room with a fridge/freezer, wine cooler, and washing machine.

Heading upstairs you will find the family bathroom with a P-shape bath and shower plus a heated towel rail. The bedrooms have all been decorated in calming colours for a restful night’s sleep and have plenty of storage and hanging space. The master bedroom has a king size bed, bedroom two has a double while bedroom three has a single bed.

Outside, the south-facing garden, with two decks, is a great size and is mainly lawned, perfect for your two and four-legged family to let off some steam running around and playing games. Speaking of which, at the bottom of the garden you will find the games cabin with table tennis and a decked area with a table, chairs, a corner sofa, for relaxing, firepit and barbecue for your alvfresco dining! Head into the cosy games cabin when the sun goes down.

A fantastic holiday home located just a short walk from Minehead’s town centre and beautiful seafront, with sandy beach and harbour, surrounded by shops and an award-winning Indian restaurant, 2-minute walk. Minehead Golf Course, founded in 1882, is Somerset’s oldest and is open all year round. Minehead is also a bustling seaside resort with plenty of things to do and there are many shops, bars, and restaurants to sample as well as three supermarkets within a 5-minute walk! Take time to explore, get lost and find hidden rivers, old-fashioned tea rooms and country pubs. The village of Dunster has its beach, plus its castle and cobbled streets are a must-do while here. Dunster by candlelight in December is a magical experience! Drive along the coast and spend time in Porlock, ride the cliff railway that links Lynton and Lynmouth or wander around Watchet.
