Upon entering the front door of this flint-clad barn conversion, you will find an open concept living area that contains a fully equipped kitchen as well as a living and dining area. Featuring granite worktops and country-style cabinets, the kitchen has all the amenities you could want. The dining area is perfect for a cosy evening meal, set in the middle of the room and made from original beams - it is a real feature in the room; a wood burner completes the room. The French doors lead out to a patio area where you can enjoy alfresco dining and drinking while enjoying the peace of the English country garden. There are many sites of historic or natural interest to visit, including the historic town of Arundel, Chactonbury and Cissbury Rings and the Weald and Downland Museum. Beaches and water sports are nearby at Worthing, Shoresham-by-sea, Ferring and Littlehampton, and shops and restaurants can be found locally in the village of Findon or further afield in Brighton or Horsham.

There are also plenty of outdoor activities nearby to keep you entertained, from horse riding across the road, canoeing on the River Arun, golfing and clay pigeon shooting, to lovely walks and cycling trails. Take a trip to the stunning Sussex coast, which is within easy reach, as is the beautiful South Downs National Park. A beautifully presented and restyled home just a 5-minute stroll to the historic Arundel centre. This fabulous property is certainly a relaxing place to stay. This large Victorian home affords very comfortable accommodation for up to four guests and is set over three floors. A lovely through living room with a traditional open fireplace leads down a couple of steps to a fully equipped kitchen and dining room with underfloor heating. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom fitted with a shower over bath. The downstairs area is spacious and makes a perfect social space for guests. The Horseshoe Annex is a Tardis of a property with lots of room in a very cosy space. As you walk into the property you are greeted by the kitchen/dining room which is well-equipped with everything you are going to need for this year’s staycation. There is a lovely living room and family bathroom. There is a kingsize bedroom and a twin room. The grounds are shared with the owners, but you do have your own piece of garden to the side of the annex. Goatchers Cottage and Goatchers Studio are situated in the pretty garden of the owner who lives at the property location and renovated the properties to the highest levels. Both have amazing beds, one being a French Antique and the other being a four poster. The properties are located in The South Downs National Park in the pretty village of Findon which is a semi-rural clustered village and civil parish in the Arun District of West Sussex, England, 4 miles north of Worthing.
Located very close to Cissbury Ring which is owned by the National Trust and is designated a Scheduled monument for its Neolithic flint mine and Iron Age hillfort. Cissbury Ring is the largest hill fort in Sussex, the second largest in England and one of the largest in Europe overall, covering some 60 acres. The village has a couple of traditional pubs serving amazing food as well as a few restaurants all within a short walk. If mountain biking is your thing then you are in for a real treat as there are plenty of trails locally that will get the blood pumping.
Brighton is located just over 14 miles to the East and Worthing beach is just 5 miles South and being submerged in The South Down National Park there is plenty of opportunity to explore this beautiful part of the world. Just park up and walk through the gates to the properties where you will find some great hospitality from the owners. Both of these properties are newly renovated and of the highest standard with some sitting out space which is literally bathed in the sunshine all day.

Numerous stately homes and gardens are dotted around the area. Goodwood with its world famous motor circuit and horse racing venue is a 20 minute easy drive. The pretty grass runway airport here offers the chance to take an airborne sightseeing experience offering memorable views of the coastline including Portsmouth Dockyards, Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower that by road are a 40 minute drive. Lunch or tea airside in this stunning location is also possible. Dogs are welcomed everywhere at Goodwood. Two championship golf courses are on the estate and spa experiences available at the hotel. Tours and afternoon tea are available also here at the stately home. Chichester with its cathedral and Festival Theatre are a short drive, Brighton being 18 miles distant. Dog friendly beaches abound with quite a collection very nearby, a favourite being West Beach at Climping where there is the lovely Baliffscourt for a special dining treat.

Stairs lead from the dining area to the first floor. A charming flint cottage set in a wonderful South Downs hamlet with stunning countryside views and walks on the doorstep. This former farm building was once part of the Duke of Norfolk’s Estate and now is a wonderful holiday retreat with panoramic views of the South Downs.

Patching is a quaint village centred along ’The Street’. At the top as the lane climbs towards the South Downs is the church and beside that the Walnut Tree Cottage. Footpaths lead from here to the Downs on a number of different routes. To the east is Long Furlong, a magnificent crescent-shaped piece of downland - it’s like the South Downs in miniature. It is easily reached from the neighbouring village of Clapham where a walk along the top gives great views inland. Take the downland paths around the woodland of Angmering Park and you reach the attractive villages of Wepham and Burpham 3 miles to the west. Like Patching they lie at the foot of the Downs and are frequented by walkers. The George and Dragon is a traditional English country pub set right in the heart of Burpham and is worth visiting - it is hard to pass by when enjoying a walk to Burpham!

The Studio is close to the town of Lewes just off the South Downs way at the top of a historic and well-maintained old racecourse. Climb to the top of Lewes castle for panoramic views across Sussex and after a picnic in the gardens visit the museum of Sussex Archaeology.
