You can take a boat trip along the restored section of the Wey and Arun Canal or along the River Arun from Arundel. West Sussex is famed for its many vineyards which can be visited.
Petworth House houses great collections and its deer park was designed by Grinling Gibbons. Cowdray is the home of British polo and the coveted Gold Cup which draws teams of the best players from all over the world. Goodwood, with its magnificent house, is also the home to the summer Glorious Goodwood horse race meeting as well as the hugely popular Festival of Speed and Revival for Motor Racing attracting motor enthusiasts from across the globe.
The RSPB’s Pulborough Wetlands are a must for bird fanciers.
