    This lovely detached lodge is sat within the owner’s grounds overlooking the open countryside and has a large, shared lawned area to the front and a field next to it which has a couple of horses in. The lodge has two bedrooms, one double and one single, as well as a sofa bed in the living room, and the kitchen has all the appliances you could need.

    There are masses of things to see and do in this area, you can walk from the property down to the River Wye through the Wye Valley and on to Symonds Yat. Monmouth itself is steeped in history and has an abundance of activities. Visit Monmouth Castle and Military Museum or Shire Hall, and after all that walking and exploring visit one of the many cafés or restaurants in the town.

    Tintern Abbey is 7 miles from the property and makes for a fantastic day out. Goodrich Castle is another to visit and is just 6 miles away. The Forest of Dean is approximately 10 miles from the lodge, here you can visit Clearwell Caves which are over 4500 years old and there are nine caverns to explore. Puzzlewood is a great day out for adults and kids alike.

The Big Pit in Blaenavon is a favourite with families and the hidden garden of Dewstow is a must. For those looking to explore the countryside the views from the Blorenge, The Skirrid and the Sugarloaf are amazing and all within a short drive. The Brecon Beacons and the fabulous Black Mountains are also within an easy daytrip, all are fantastic for walking/trekking and cycling.
