From the living room, doors lead through to a fabulous conservatory which has views across to the on-site coarse fishing lakes, open to the public.     The location on the stunning Llyn Peninsula affords many wonderful walking opportunities, and the pretty fishing village of Aberdaron is close by with a small selection of local shops, pubs and cafés, as well as the fascinating National Trust’s visitor centre, Porth y Swnt. There are many unspoilt beaches to be found in the region, where seals and dolphins can sometimes be spotted. Lively Pwllheli, with its weekly market and larger selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, is 17 miles away, whilst the Snowdonia National Park, with its dramatic mountain scenery and exhilarating outdoor pursuits, is within easy reach. The complex is on the local bus route which connects to Carmarthen via the hotel and Ferryside railway station. In the opposite direction, Kidwelly and Swansea are en route. Ferryside is uncommercialised, peaceful and quiet; the ideal getaway for a perfect weekend (or longer) break. It is also, due to its proximity to Carmarthen, Llanelli and other centres, an ideal corporate meeting place. Kidwelly, with its Norman castle, industrial heritage museum, Pembrey Country Park and Motorsport Centre, within approximately 10 minutes’ travelling time.

    The National Botanical Gardens, Laugharne (famous for Dylan Thomas’ Boathouse) and many Pembrokeshire attractions are about half an hour’s drive. There are many places to visit including Dylan Thomas’ cottage, where he spent the last years of his life. The Millennium Coastal Cycle Path, part of the national cycle path network, meanders through approximately 20 miles of local coastline, passing through local areas of interest. Places to visit include Kidwelly Castle, the Penclawydd Wildfowl Centre, and the Loughor Estuary with views of the Mumbles Peninsula south of Swansea. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Up to two friendly dogs are welcome at the property, but please be aware that there are sheep and cows grazing opposite the property so it may be wise keeping them on a lead when not in your enclosed garden. There is off road parking which can be found at the side of the property.

    The heart of Llandeilo is on your doorstep and the town holds various events throughout the year, including a music festival, jazz festival and the unique Festival of Senses in November. On the edge of the town why not visit the lovely National Trust Dinefwr Park and Gothic Newton House? A short but energetic walk across the famous King’s bridge and up the hill into the town which is renowned for its award-winning chocolate shop, gin bar, boutique shopping and elegant restaurants. Carmarthenshire is abundant with historical monuments, wonders of nature and fantastic beaches. Travel over breathtaking mountains and lose yourself in the solitude of the vast countryside. Within a few miles you can enjoy days out at Aberglasney House and Gardens and the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, with the largest single span glasshouse in the world.
