Situated in the heart of rural north Wales, Honeysuckle Cottage offers welcoming and homely semi-detached accommodation, perfect for couples looking for a romantic escape. This pretty stone cottage, set in the owners’ extensive gardens, has been thoughtfully renovated to provide a cosy holiday home which has all the comforts one needs whilst at the same time offering lots of character and charm. Downstairs there is an open plan living space which has a gas wood burner. Stairs lead to a galleried bedroom area which has a super king size bed, beamed ceilings, Velux windows and plenty of storage space. Honeysuckle Cottage is located on America Farm which dates back as far as the 17th Century. Originally the site of five lead miner’s cottages, after the mining industry collapsed, America Mine became America Farm and when the current owners bought the farm, they converted the old piggeries into holiday cottages.

Situated in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, America Farm is sheltered from the winds by Moel Findeg which showcases spectacular views across the Wirral and Liverpool to the east and Snowdonia to the west. Guests are free to enjoy the owners’ beautiful garden and there are lots of lovely walks from the doorstep. There is a tennis court on-site which guests are welcome to use (own equipment required) and there are two great pubs within easy reach. America Farm is just five minutes from the lovely market town of Mold which has a great street market held twice weekly (Wednesday and Saturday). Mold also boasts the famous Theatre Clwyd where many famous actors take part in the productions.

Ideal for those who love the great outdoors, the local landmarks of Moel Famau and Loggerheads Park are just moments away from America Farm, and offer nature lovers the chance to connect with the beautiful Welsh countryside. Moel Famau Country Park is one of the most visited places in north Wales and its ever changing scenery is a real delight. Cycling enthusiasts will love Coed Llandegla where large sections of the forest have been turned into a mountain bikers paradise. Those wanting to explore the coast can visit places such as Llandudno, 43 miles and Anglesey, 70 miles. The rural joys of Snowdonia, 38 miles and Llangollen, 15 miles, are also easy to find. Over the border, the historic city of Chester is just 18 miles away and Liverpool can be reached in 45 minutes by car.
