There is also a small utility area. To the first floor is a kingsize bedroom with Smart TV. There is underfloor heating throughout the property with zoned thermostatic controls.
Outside, you will find hot and cold taps, perfect for washing your four-legged friends off after a walk in the hills. This eco-friendly lodge has eco cleaning products which are supplied along with a welcome basket of local produce, as well as a welcome basket for your dog containing treats and eco waste bags, also supplied is a bed, a blanket and a towel for your four-legged friend. A medium sized dog cage is available upon request.
There are plenty of walks to be had from the property; it is 6 miles to the historic town of Brecon with its array of coffee shops, small local independent shops, and art galleries. This beautiful end terrace period holiday property is situated in the centre of the popular border town of Hay-on-Wye and within walking distance of its amenities. World renowned for books and bookshops and its literary festival, it also has a renovated castle, traditional markets with local produce, art galleries, antique and independent shops, great gastro pubs, restaurants and cafés. There is plenty to do and see from both properties; for those adrenaline junkies looking for some excitement, Bike Park Wales is approximately a 40-minute drive from the property, and Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trails are a 25-minute drive, with masses of trails for mountain bike enthusiasts.
If you tire of the mountains, you are never far from the sea either with Aberavon Beach 9 miles away, and the famous Gower Peninsula only 20 miles away. The National Show Caves for Wales are a short drive from the property and make a fantastic day out with three of the largest caves to experience. Almost directly across the road you will find Craig Y Nos Castle and the attached country park which was formally owned by opera singer Adelina Patti. If you are looking for some retail therapy the property is perfectly located only 3 miles from the historic market town of Neath and 9 miles from Swansea, both of which have traditional indoor markets. Swansea has a lovely marina and a very large beach which continues on to Mumbles where you will find an array of bistros, shops and ice cream parlous where you can try the famous Joes Ice cream. Bryn Teg is a spacious lodge in the heart of Mid Wales, situated near the entrance of the Caer Beris Estate. All on the ground floor, it offers a large open-plan living space; the living area has a two-seater sofa, a three-seater sofa bed, an electric wood burner, a Smart TV with Sky package and patio doors leading to the rear decked area. The dining area has a large dining table able to seat six, and the well-equipped kitchen area has a separate island with a breakfast bar. The master bedroom features a walk-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table and an en-suite shower room. There is also a further bedroom complete with single bed and single fold-out bed, a large double wardrobe, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. A utility room, with back door access, completes the accommodation.
The decked area to the rear has upholstered seating and table and chairs, as well as a gas barbecue for al fresco dining whilst enjoying uninterrupted views over the rolling countryside.
