Comfortable, it is well equipped with grounds comprising extensive terracing, south-facing sitting-out areas, and exclusive use of an all-weather hard tennis court and an outdoor heated swimming pool, as well as a full-size pool table and children’s play area with 14ft trampoline, swings and a slide.
Perfectly placed for exploring the Cotswolds and its many delights and family attractions, it is within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon. A town brimming with half-timbered buildings, there are many interesting sights associated with Shakespeare to be seen; the Holy Trinity Church, and the Bard’s last resting place, Guild Chapel, Hall’s Croft and New Place all make for interesting visits, as does Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the adjoining Swan Theatre. New Inn House is also ideal for visiting Cheltenham, and the Gustav Holst Museum, Evesham – reputedly Lady Godiva’s site of burial, and Tewkesbury.
In addition to the many historic Cotswold villages and towns, the surrounding countryside is excellent terrain for walking; a climb to the summit of the Worcestershire Beacons affords marvellous views of lush green Hereford and the flat expanses of the Severn Valley. This fantastic property enjoys spacious accommodation and is perfect for families, friends, groups and celebrations. This detached house has two bedrooms, one with en-suite, and a family bathroom on the ground floor, and two further bedrooms on the first floor, again one with an en-suite. The large living room is double aspect and enjoys views to the rear of the property that stretch across the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The kitchen gives direct access to the large enclosed garden with a hidden seating area at the bottom.

The Long House is set within the small hamlet of Middle Aston in Oxfordshire and is only 1 mile away from the busy village of Steeple Aston, where you will find a great pub, post office and shop. Just over 8 miles away is Bicester Village, a must for any shopaholic to spend some money in the many designer outlet shops! Located in the Cherwell Valley area of Oxfordshire, you can enjoy the outdoors by ambling the many footpaths the area has to offer. Blenheim Palace, once home to Winston Churchill, is approximately 8 miles away and enjoys many events throughout the year, including music events, horse trials, Countryfile Live and a beautiful Christmas light show.

Close to the borders of the Cotswolds, you can enjoy driving and stopping at beautiful villages and towns, visiting tea rooms, eating at fabulous country pubs or taking in the scenery this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers. Ufton Fields Nature Reserve is on your doorstep where you can explore beautiful grassland, woodland and wetland, discover wildlife and simply enjoy the great outdoors. There is a lovely circular walk you can take or spend time in bird hides spotting many different species. The village boasts a local pub and church and more local amenities can be found in neighbouring Southam only 2 miles away. Royal Leamington Spa with its Regency high street is just over 4 miles away where you can enjoy a wealth of shops and eateries.
Warwick with its famous castle is just over 7 miles away or for a slower pace head to the Burton Dassett Hills for a picnic and great walks. A trip to Stratford-upon-Avon is a great day out. You can explore the historic town, take a trip down the river, see a play at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre or find more about the Bard’s life as his birthplace is in the centre of the town. There is easy access to the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can meander through country roads stopping off at picturesque points and country pubs along the way. The National Trust property of Farnborough Hall is just over 10 miles away and opens a couple of days a week during the summer months. Bicester Village, famous for its shopping village, is within easy driving distance as is Woodstock, home to Blenheim Palace.

There are lovely walks straight from the front door through the village and into the countryside, and along the town path on the Oxford Canal. Local shops can be found at the nearby villages of Braunston and Dunchurch, or for a larger range of amenities, Rugby, Daventry and Southam are within a few miles drive. Draycote Reservoir is just 3 miles away and offers a lovely circular walk or cycle ride, a sailing club and fishing, its also a great spot for birdwatching. Famed for its public school, the birth of rugby football and the Frank Whittle jet engine, Rugby is also home to the green open spaces of Caldecott Park, Coombe Abbey Country Park and Brownsover Hall. It also provides trains to Leicester, Birmingham and London in around 50 minutes. A little further is the Royal town of Leamington Spa where you can visit Victoria Gardens, Warwick with is famous castle and Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon.

Located near the medieval town of Tewkesbury there is plenty on the doorstep to explore and the M5 is very close by with nearby access to the Cotswolds and Cheltenham. Enjoy the bustling market town of Tewkesbury by day, exquisite waterside walks and theatre shows. Take a leisurely meander in the market town, weave in and out of the Tudor buildings and visit farmers’ markets, antique shops and tea rooms. Pick up a small aperitif and step aboard a river cruise (season permitting) before catching a matinee at the Roses Theatre.
If historic splendour is on the agenda, Tewkesbury is home to a 12th-century abbey, adorned with one of the highest Norman towers in the country, and the largest medieval re-enactment festival in Europe in July. Just a short drive to the other side of town you will find Croft Farm, where you can spend the days on the lake, sailing, swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. There is even a selection of peddalos for the younger ones. The café at Croft Farm is dog friendly too. Beyond Tewkesbury you will find the famous Cotswolds, and a day out in Chipping Campden is a must. Admire the streets of honey-hued, ‘chocolate box’ houses, boutique shops, pubs and restaurants, plus several castles nearby. There are plenty of on and off-road cycle routes and some family friendly trails to explore.
On days when you want to just be at one with nature, take a trip to the nearby nature reserve - educational and fun for all the family. You will find Regency Cheltenham within 10 miles, great to visit for one of their cultural festivals or a flutter at the races. Stunning Sudeley and Eastnor Castles, and Malvern are all within 15 miles. Whatever you choose to do, The Exchange will not disappoint. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Nearby Tysoe has a shop selling local produce and wine on tap. There is also a great walk up to Tysoe windmill with its wonderful views over the Cotswolds. There are many lovely country and village walks right from the doorstep so you can spend time enjoying the countryside or exploring many of the nearby attractions.
The village of Oxhill lies in the rolling countryside of south Warwickshire, close to the border of Oxfordshire and the north Cotswolds in the area known as the Vale of the Red Horse. It’s in a great location to see many different areas and attractions as it lies halfway between Stratford-upon-Avon and Banbury.
The beautiful towns and villages of the north Cotswolds can be reached in approximately 10 minutes’ drive where you can explore Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold or Woodstock, home to Blenheim Palace. The National Trust’s Upton House and Gardens, Charlecote Park, Farnborough and Hidcote are all within easy reach. Compton Verney is just over 5 miles away, where you can discover the art gallery with its many collections and exhibitions, and enjoy the park with its labyrinth, bird hide, pond dipping and playground.
For more outdoor fun, head to Burton Dassett Hills, the perfect country park for walks, flying a kite or eating a picnic whilst admiring the views of rolling hills and open countryside. Within 20-30 minutes’ drive are the market towns of Banbury and Royal Leamington Spa, which are full of high street and independent shops, pubs, cafés, and restaurants. Also, a similar distance is Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick with its famous castle, and a little further Bicester Village, famous for its shopping village.

This is truly the perfect location for families and friends to getaway and relax. There is a communal garden located behind the car park with plenty of seating, and you are able to exercise your dog here, but please do take responsibility for cleaning up after them and keeping them on a lead. A number of stunning walks are available from your doorstep around the stunning historical village of Bretforton, or take a trip to the nearby and historical Stratford-Upon-Avon, a river boat ride or enjoy a round of golf at one of the courses close by.

For history enthusiasts, a visit to the 8th century Evesham Abbey and its fascinating museum is a must.
