Alternatively, take a 2-mile walk to the coast through secluded woodland to laze on sandy Mothecombe beach. Totnes, a handsome market town in the South Hams, is easily reached and river cruises can be taken from here down to Dartmouth during the summer months. The owner lives close by and is on hand for help and local knowledge. Whatever you decide, you’ll certainly want to round off the evening with a soak under the stars in your private hot tub with its magically lit amphitheatre. Your stay here at Pentire will rejuvenate and delight you and when you leave you will probably be planning your next visit before you even drive out of the gates! RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich heath, offering opportunities for spotting birds and connecting with wildlife, with excellent walks available. For great days out visit Snape Maltings, Framlingham Castle, Halesworth Museum, Yoxford Antiques Centre and Gardens and Easton Farm Park. Vibrant market town of Beccles boasts independent boutiques and chain shops, with an excellent collection of eateries, including fine dining to many cafés serving home-made cakes and savouries to delight many palates. The weekly market is excellent for all things local, and there is an open air heated outdoor swimming pool, popular with many local swimmers and gateway to the Famous Norfolk Broads National Park. There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Corton lies just north of Lowestoft, the most easterly point of the UK. Beachwood is set amongst a secluded woodland setting and has frontline sea views. It is also considered to be the one with the most private, quiet and secluded settings. The photographs of the interiors speak for themselves. The kitchen is well equipped according to our many extremely satisfied guests to date. Tea coffee and milk is provided so guests don’t arrive late and find they can’t make a hot drink. The huge decking stretches to the cliff edge with views onto the award-winning beach. Stunning sunrises each morning which, should you so wish, can be watched while you relax in the hot tub! At night it lights up via a button. String lights have now been installed which are on a timer, which creates a wonderful evening ambience. The beach is never busy which makes for relaxing walks in both summer and winter and is accessed via a lovely short walk through the woods. It is also a dog friendly beach year-round. There are no shops or plastic swings and slides at Ocean Glade. It is very peaceful, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. There is a pub a 10-minute walk into the centre of the village which serves food, plus a small shop which also sells newspapers and a Chinese takeaway that only takes cash. There is a shopping complex a few minutes’ drive away with plenty of free parking.
Beachwood is ideally located to explore both Suffolk and Norfolk. Visit the Norfolk Broads National Park, with its southern gateway, Oulton Broad, just a short drive away, with good restaurants and a wine bar. Lowestoft is an old-fashioned traditional town offering shopping, beaches, two piers with family entertainment and restaurants. The popular town of Southwold is about a 35-minute drive away. There is so much to do and see in the area and you would be advised to google your preferences for details etc. Far too much to write here!

Carr House farmhouse is set on a working farm, but only minutes away from the attractions of Scarborough and only 1½ miles from the well known surfing beach at Cayton Bay, which also welcomes dog walkers throughout the year. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the large landscaped gardens with a summerhouse, apple trees and barbecue, with a perimeter fence making it ideal for both children and pets. This detached farmhouse is ideal for touring the North Yorkshire coast, from Whitby in the north to Bridlington in the south. A short journey inland takes you to the North York Moors, ’Heartbeat’ Country and Pickering for the steam railway, whilst York for its historic attractions is less than an hour away.

This super, unique, detached beach house includes two converted railway carriages, one of only a few to be seen along the south coast and enjoys a fabulous location directly on the seafront. Chichester with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, pedestrianised shopping, leisure centre, Roman Villa and Goodwood or Fontwell races is worthy of a visit. Visit Portsmouth with waterside dining, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, designer outlets, leisure facilities, Spinnaker Tower, Historic Dockyard including HMS Victory and the Mary Rose, or the maritime history at Southampton. Winchester, with its cathedral and abbey, and The New Forest are within easy driving distance. Plenty of National Trust homes and gardens can also be discovered nearby. Beach 5 yards. Nearby Kirton has a good range of amenities including shops and pubs which is only a 10-minute walk away. Situated in between the historic towns of Spalding and Boston, you can visit the famous Boston ’Stump’, enjoy numerous good restaurants, shops, cafés and bars as well as the weekly markets and river boat rides.
For days out, the seaside resort of Skegness is approx. 45 minutes, and Hunstanton in Norfolk about an hour’s drive. Major cities surrounding within a 35-mile radius. Nature reserves at Frampton RSPB (10 mins car journey) and Gibraltor Point offer opportunity to see the migrating birds and wildlife as well as many miles of excellent walks. For cycle enthusiasts, there are some great cycle routes close by.
