Wootton Rivers is a sought-after village with a thatched pub just opposite Mortimer Cottage, and the village also offers extensive footpaths and opportunities for cyclists and walkers. With the Kennet and Avon canal being a short walk away as well as many other countryside walks. Avebury is 5 miles away, as is the centre of Marlborough with its range of great restaurants and pubs, along with a variety of high quality and independent shops offering a unique blend of modern attractions and facilities. The high street is one of the widest in the UK and offers a twice-weekly market on a Wednesday and Saturday. The M4 is within easy reach, Hungerford is 12½ miles east and there is a regular train service from Pewsey to Paddington in just 65 minutes; a car is essential when visiting Mortimer Cottage, which is the perfect base from which to explore all that Wiltshire and The Cotswolds have to offer.

Fully renovated in 2023, Granary sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms. This detached property is modern throughout and offers the perfect base for exploring the area. Outside is a small sitting-out area to the front of the property with a table and chairs for two guests. The owner includes a lovely welcome pack with samples of local produce that you can purchase more of from our local area.

As the property was originally two cottages there are two staircases, the stairs are steep and there are low ceilings. The staircase from the living/dining room leads to the spacious landing with master bedroom and family bathroom, whilst the second staircase leads to a single bedroom and another large room with kingsize bed, and a small opening passage to the master bedroom.

This house is located in the centre of Cricklade. Mainly used as a private residence, the owner will occasionally rent the house.
It is a large house with spacious accommodation and an extensive garden backing on to St Sampson’s Church. A door in the garden wall opens directly to the churchyard. It is very suitable for family get togethers over Christmas and the New Year, or in the summer for weddings or bank holiday breaks.
