Walk direct from the door over the nearby moors or take a 5-minute stroll into the nearby traditional market town of Hawes. Here you will find a good mix of shops with something for everyone including antiques, traditional country clothing, fashion and gift shops interspersed with tea shops, restaurants and pubs. Alternatively visit the Wensleydale Creamery, famous for its cheese endorsed by Wallace and Gromit or visit the Dales Centre Museum. Nearby Semerwater, a large, natural lake provides a wealth of activities such as swimming, fishing (licence required) and sailing. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Glen Isle is a delightful Finnish-style lodge which has been completely refurbished in 2020 and is warm, cosy and welcoming, With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it’s ideal for couples or a family.

Bedroom three has a single cabin bed with pull out single bed underneath. All bedrooms have vaulted ceilings with remote controlled Velux windows.

The owner would ask all guests to bring along their own shoes to get from the property to the hot tub; however fluffy bath robes are provided.

The bustling market town of Skipton is approximately 12 miles away and has an award-winning high street with shops, a regular street market, pubs and restaurants, overlooked by a Norman castle. The canal runs through here and offers day trips by traditional barge. The town also has a golf course and indoor swimming pool.
