About this property

The dog-friendly Alma Inn is located in the charming market town of Colne in Pendle with the fabulous dog walking opportunities and natural beauty of Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales National Park. Thornton Hall Farm Country Park is also close by. Nestling in Pendle's gorgeous countryside located on the Lancashire-Yorkshire border above the village of Laneshawbridge, this delightful coaching inn was originally built in 1725. The Inn has recently been renovated and has plenty of original features including stone floors, original beams & real fires. All the bedrooms are dog-friendly. The ambience is relaxed with delicious food and a great selection of real ales and wines.

In the characterful bar where your dog will be welcomed as well as the garden for dining al fresco. The same food is served in the bar as in the main restaurant. The food features local ingredients with a lovely roast on Sundays.

The village of Colne is charming and there are plenty of dog walking opportunities. The East Colne way is a 5 mile circular walk starting from Lakeside Café just outside Colne which comes highly recommended. Another great walk is the Kelbrook Circular Walk or a walk from Colne to the Fowlridge Lower Reservoir. The Yorkshire Dales National Park and Thornton Hall Country Park are also close by. With hundreds of miles of footpaths and bridleways, the Forest of Bowland is also a paradise for four-legged friends.
