With Lake Windermere, Grasmere, and Keswick nearby the Ambleside Inn is surrounded by dog-friendly walking routes and incredible fell views. A fabulous dog-friendly walk with iconic views of Lake Windermere is the Loughrigg Fell walk - a seven-mile circular walk that begins and ends in Ambleside. There is a track to follow all the way to the summit with breathtaking views. Its central location is the perfect spot to see some of the Lake’s finest fells as well as views over Ambleside, Grasmere, Windermere, Rydal Water, and Lake Windermere. On your way down you wander past the southern shore of Rydal Water. A great walk for all ages and abilities and there are numerous paths to explore along the way. And the town of Ambleside itself is super dog-friendly with numerous dog-friendly cafes and shops including Daisy’s cafe.
