About this property

One of Royston's most iconic buildings is dog-friendly Banyers House in Melbourn Street. Situated within easy walking distance of the town centre, this Grade II listed Georgian building has been transformed into a destination venue with a, 90-seat restaurant, extensive bar area and nine boutique-style bedrooms. The restaurant serves a Mediterranean-inspired menu in the light filled orangery and elegant dining room or if you can choose to dine with your dog in the bar area. The hotel has charming gardens for your dog to explore and lots of walks from the doorstep and is close to the dog-friendly Wimpole Estate Gardens and Knebworth House.

You can try a Neapolitan pizza, freshly prepared by one of our trained pizzaiolos and cooked in their wood-fired oven, a dish cooked to order in their charcoal fuelled Josper grill with emphasis on the quality and provenance of the ingredients.

Therfield Heath next to Royston is doggie paradise. Dogs are walked here every day across the heath and golf course all on public land. It’s easy to walk for miles along the many paths and afterwards you can enjoy a refreshing pint at the Heath Sports café. Also try the Arrington Circular Walk - a 7.2 kilometer loop trail located near Royston with lovely river walk. Also visit the Wimpole Estate Gardens which has a25 acre garden and 350 park beyond and the Knebworth House with a gorgeous 28 acre garden.
