About this property

Dog-friendly The Battlesteads Hotel in Northumberland is a three-star country inn nestled in the pretty village of Wark. Set on the edge of the magnificent Northumberland National Park, canine companions will love roaming the surrounding countryside on days out. Winner of the Highly Commended award in the North-East Tourism Awards 2017 for Dog-friendly Accommodation, The Battlesteads has a traditional country atmosphere with beamed ceilings, stylish rooms, delicious home-cooked food and a cosy open fireplace. There is also a lovely, large walled garden for four-legged guests to run around on or off-lead.

Dine with Your Dog

Furry friends can dine with you in the hotel’s bar, lounge and outdoor areas, but if your pet prefers to relax, they can stay in your room whilst you eat. Head chef Eddie Shilton uses only local ingredients to create fresh, flavoursome modern British dishes as well as some international choices. Many of the salads and side dishes are made using herbs, vegetables and fruit from the hotel’s kitchen garden. Water bowls and treats are available for furry friends at the bar.

Bow wow factor

Has to be the six fabulous walks straight from the front door! And Winston the resident Labrador always looks forward to greeting new furry guests with a doggie welcome pack!
