The front porch leads you into the lounge with dining area, here you will have space to cosy by the open fire after a day hiking the Lion and the Lamb. Head through to the well-equipped kitchen that opens out onto the courtyard with furniture, perfect for dining al fresco in the summer months. There is also a coal house and secure bike storage to the rear. Head up the traditional winding cottage staircase to find the two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin. The shower room is also located to the first floor. Grasmere is world-renowned for the inspiring surrounding that moved William Wordsworth to write some of his best-loved poetry. This charming village is home to a variety of cafes, bars and eateries as well as the famous Sarah Nelson’s Grasmere Gingerbread shop. There’s a host of walks directly from the village including Fairfield, Silver How, Helm Crag and Loughrigg. Further afield you can reach the market town of Keswick which lies on the showers of Derwentwater.
