As well as being surrounded by the gorgeous Hampshire countryside, Bel & The Dragon is only a 15-minute drive from the breath-taking Highclere castle – a must-visit for fans of the hit television programme Downton Abbey. Although dogs are not permitted in the castle and grounds, doggies can enjoy a wonderful stroll through the public footpath that runs through the park.

Offering a series of menus full of twists on classic British dishes, they use only the highest quality, local and sustainable produce. If you would rather dine alone, you may leave your pet in your room to relax.
The celebrated Watership Down Walk is two-miles south west of the inn, the Wayfarers’ Walk passes White Hill and The Warren on the way to Watership Down. Also, visit Highclere Castle, where dogs can enjoy a stroll through the public footpath that runs through the park.
