Blending contemporary and traditional accommodation, the dog-friendly Blencowe Hall is a Grade One restoration providing a five star experience in the English Lake District. Renovated with quirky, modern rooms and passages, this spacious 14th century castle accommodates up to 24 guests, making it the perfect venue for large families and dashing doggies. Encompassed by its own gardens, grounds, and fields, Blencowe Hall offers striking views of the nearby Lakeland fells, as well as the green rolling hills of the Eden Valley - a perfect spot for scenic walks with your furry friends. The surrounding area is chock full of exciting things to do, from challenging hikes to trout fishing along the River Petteril, and plenty of places to see, including the ancient stone circles and Lacy’s Caves.

Your doggies will adore the spacious gardens and grounds, providing plenty of space to play in. They’ll also receive treats and their own bowl!

Bedrooms & Suites

The spacious bedrooms in this exclusive use hall are all exceedingly luxurious, giving you all of the creature comforts you’ll need to unwind after a long day exploring the picturesque Eden Valley. Lavishly decorated with traditional furnishings, each bedroom has a rustic feel, complemented by modern accoutrements.

The South Tower Rooms
The South Tower has two bedroom suites, each of which occupy an entire floor of the Tower and have luxurious private en-suite bath and shower rooms. The Master Bedroom at Blencowe Hall is accessed via a private stairwell and has a Juliette balcony overlooking the Lakeland Fells. It has a private dressing room, a bathroom with a cast iron roll top bath and separate walk in shower and an antique oak carved four poster six foot bed.

West Range Rooms
The West Range has three en-suite bedrooms which overlook the South Tower field orchards. The Master Bedroom includes a step up luxurious en suite with a spacious walk-through shower and a freestanding cast iron roll top bath. The Greystoke Room is a zip and link twin bedroom with 3′ single beds. Its sandstone surrounded window looks toward the Lakeland fells. It has a private en suite with a shower bathroom.

The North Tower Rooms
Accessed via ornately carved masonry doorways are the two ground floor ensuite bedrooms in the North Tower of Blencowe Hall. The Garden Bedroom (4’6 double bed) has a private ensuite wet room set into the curve of the spiral staircase leading up to the Solar and has private access to a low walled garden at the base of the North Tower. The Garden Bedroom stone mullioned windows are set into five foot thick walls overlooking the formal gardens at the front of Blencowe Hall.

Central Range Rooms
Overlooking the Central Range cobbled courtyard and the rear gardens is the Lady Jane Grey Room which has 2 zip and link single beds which can be configured as a 6′ king-size depending on guest preference. The Lady Jane Grey Room has a private en suite with a separate shower and cast iron bath.
