About this property

Settled in a desirable residential area, a short walk from the centre of the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere, rests this spectacular four-bedroom detached holiday home, Brantlea. Framing views across the glistening waters of Lake Windermere towards the distant fells beyond and enjoying a sociable open-plan layout, Brantlea is a wonderful base for a group celebration to the lakes. A spacious driveway with parking for four greets you at the foot of this lovely dwelling, making unloading your belongings and making yourself at home an easy task. Kick off your muddy boots and remove any walking gear as you step over the threshold and enter into the hallway, where a handy ground-floor shower room can be found set across the way, ideal for freshening up following a day of adventure. Climb the stairs to the first floor to discover the open-plan living space, flooded with natural light welcomed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows and thoughtfully laid out with a sumptuous corner sofa gathered in front of a Smart TV and warming flame-effect fire, enticing you to snuggle up and enjoy a blockbuster classic. The contemporary kitchen is well-equipped with all of the amenities necessary to whip up delectable dishes, whilst the barbecue on the balcony is perfect for a spot of alfresco dining with a spectacular backdrop of the surrounding greenery. For a real touch of elegance, enjoy a dip in the bubbling hot tub under a canopy of stars. When sleep calls, you'll find two bedrooms on the ground-floor, each boasting a zip/link super-king-size, ideal for couples, families and friends sharing, whilst two king-size rooms are settled on the first floor, each benefiting from access to their own en-suite. In the morning, enjoy the short stroll to Haystacks Cafe, set moments away from your doorstep, where you can fuel the days excursions with a hearty breakfast before heading to the local convenience store to stock up on energizing treats! The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is a must-see whilst you're in the area, an interactive exhibition telling the fascinating story of Potter's writing, whilst those looking for a spot of adventure can try their hand at kayaking or paddleboarding with expert tuition available on the waters of Lake Windermere. Board the passenger ferry and explore more of your picture-perfect surroundings with a day trip to Ambleside, Brockhole or Lakeside, or head off on foot along the Dales Way, a 78-mile footpath linking West Yorkshire to Cumbria. The peaks of Helvellyn and Scafell Pike are set within easy reach, each offering a challenging pursuit to the summit, whilst the glistening waters of Stock Ghyll Force and the man-made Rydal Cave offer unrivaled scenery closer to home. Whisk your loved ones away on an unforgettable retreat to Brantlea.
