The Bridge is a boutique 24 bedroom dog-friendly hotel in the picturesque village of Prestbury, situated on the banks of the River Bollin. Friendly staff but restaurant lacked atmosphere
Waiting staff were friendly but there was no atmosphere. Restaurant area was very tired, threadbare carpet and loose tiles on floor. The curry was more like soup, my husband had to ask for a spoon to eat it. The hotel needs updating.
Great value
Had a great stay at the bridge an amazing deal excellent value for money
A lovely one night stay!
A little confused on arrival, but once dealt with all was made clear and we were made welcome. The room was lovely, spacious and an interesting view over the mill beck. The bathroom needed some refurbishment, however the bath was a great size and lots of hot water, a great treat. Our evening meal was delicious, gluten free well accommodated, and there was a good range of non alcoholic drinks as well as the usual. Car parking was convenient.
We were able to adjust the radiator and have the window open overnight, it was mild for December. Breakfast was also delicious with plenty of choice, again GF well catered for.
Checkout was easy with a payment adjustment for an oversight which I only pointed out, I wasn't expecting any refund, as we'd had such a good stay. The Staff were friendly throughout and almost all very knowledgeable about food, drinks, facilities, area etc. (If I'd known how rubbish the next hotel was going to be we would have stayed here both nights.) We will be back next time we are in the area and have already recommended The Bridge to others.

The gorgeous Tatton Park is accessible via a short drive and offers a perfect location for a scenic stroll. The estate features a sizeable mansion house, but the real highlight is the picturesque Parkland, where deer bound across the open fields and swans cruise across the surface of a quiet lake. The hotel is also happy to provide maps and guides, which will allow you and your hound to sniff out some of the local area's wonderful walks. The vibrant city of Manchester is also accessible via a short drive or train journey, providing plenty of cracking spots to explore. Mount a walking tour with your canine companion and discover the city's vibrant music scene, rich history, and fantastic shops.
