About this property

A new edition to the De Savery Group of hotels is a charming dog-friendly cottage dating back to the 17th century in the delightful market town of Sherborne in the deepest Dorset countryside. The cottage has three bedrooms as is full of character with an attractive sitting room with Ingelenook wood burning fireplace, dining room, kitchen, and gorgeous garden for your best furry friend to roam. The cottage has been completely restored and furnished with antiques and with a fabulous fitted kitchen. There are three double ensuite bedrooms plus an alfresco dining terrace with a barbecue. The cottage adjoins the Eastbury Hotel & Spa. So while you are there you can enjoy the facilities of the hotel and a treatment or two. There are fabulous doggy walks from the door in the gorgeous Dorset countryside.

In the super newly installed kitchen or on the alfresco dining terrace. There’s also a lovely dining room although if you fancied a change of scene you could book a table at the Eastbury Hotel’s Seasons Restaurant. This two rosette restaurant is run by chef Matthew and his team who have established quite a reputation for seriously good food. And what's more, you can take your four-legged friend along with you. Signature dishes include whipped goats cheese and 28 days aged rib-eye steak. The chefs will even make a chicken and rice dinner for your dog.

Sherborne is an extremely dog-friendly market town, full of charming medieval buildings and with most shops welcoming dogs. Look out for the 'Woof-Woofs your welcome here’ signs in the shop windows. Around the town, you will find beautiful walks including Purlieu Meadows where your dog can run free, and the grounds of Sherborne Castle. A little further afield are the National Trust sites of Stourhead, Montacute House, and Tintinhull Gardens. Dorset’s Jurassic Coast is also within easy reach.
