About this property

Cromlix is a superb dog-friendly hotel set within 34-acres of secluded woodlands and beautiful garden grounds, just three miles from Dunblane in Perthshire. The hotel offers guests the chance to experience the decadent lifestyle once enjoyed by the Lairds of Cromlix, redefined for the 21st-century by sumptuous surroundings and impeccable yet discreet service. When Scottish tennis superstar Andy Murray acquired Cromlix, close to his hometown of Dunblane, it signalled not only a return to his roots but the chance to reinvent the glorious era of grand country house living. Following extensive refurbishment, the US Open, Olympic and Wimbledon champion has transformed this elegant Victorian Perthshire mansion into a five-star luxury 15-bedroom and Gate Lodge destination. Each of the dog-friendly bedrooms and suites features their own individual design and character, some with hand-painted freestanding baths in gold, silver and copper, as well as 32-inch televisions disguised as mirrors, supremely comfortable beds and luxury bedding. There are various activities and attractions both at the hotel and close by including tennis courts, archery, snooker, board games and in-room spa treatments for the ultimate relaxation. Dine in the fabulous Chez Roux Restaurant for a truly wonderful culinary experience or indulge in an exceptional Afternoon Tea, the perfect start to your luxury break!

Dine with Your Dog

The hotel boasts a Chez Roux restaurant, offering reasonably priced menus that focus on using seasonal locally sourced produce wherever possible, two drawing rooms, a conservatory and dining room. There are plenty of luxurious spots within the hotel that can accommodate a more intimate, private dining experience or even just a cosy spot for a drink or two. Chez Roux restaurant, overseen by the legendary French chef Albert Roux and run by award-winning executive head chef Darin Campbell, is housed in the glass-walled conservatory overlooking the grounds and offers diners a ringside view of the chefs at work in the extensive open kitchen.

Dog-Friendly Nearby

The small Scottish country town of Dunblane has not only easy access to the Scottish countryside but also great links into the cities of Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow with plenty of things to see and do with your four-legged friend, from the beautiful Dunblane Cathedral, and of course the Golden Post Box, gilded after Cromlix owner Andy Murray won gold in the 2012 Olympics men’s singles tennis. With parks and a river flowing through the town, Dunblane is also a lovely spot to simply walk with your pooch and enjoy.
