Owned by Kim and Andy Murray, dog-friendly Cromlix is a historic Victorian mansion and Estate designed in contemporary style with a relaxed vibe, nestled in the scenic, secluded Stirlingshire countryside just three miles from Dunblane. Beautifully situated in 34 acres of secluded woodlands and landscaped gardens for your furry friend to explore, it has its own chapel, loch, tennis and pickleball courts.

Cromlix features 15 dog-friendly bedrooms plus the Gate House which have been beautifully reimagined by Kim, Andy’s wife who has taken an active role in shaping the Cromlix experience. The interiors are alive with the vibrant colours of nature, verdant greenery and botanical flourishes and filled with contemporary artwork - with a preference for Scottish artists and designers. The team offers a specially warm welcome to your best furry friend who will be spoiled with a comfy bed, doggie welcome hamper and turndown treat.

On-site activities include lots of lovely country walks and trails, archery, laser clays, falconry, garden games and in-room spa treatments which can also be booked in advance. Guests can also enjoy The Billiards Room with its gorgeous mix of emerald and floral colours.

Bedrooms & Suites

Each of the 10 bedrooms, 5 suites and one-bedroom gate lodge has their own individual design and character. Light spills into the rooms, which are all subtly decorated and enjoy splendid views over the manicured grounds or tennis courts and surrounding countryside. The majority of suites feature gorgeous hand-painted freestanding baths in gold, silver and copper. All bedrooms feature 32-inch televisions all disguised as mirrors, iPod docking stations, WiFi and DVD player available upon request. Luxury comforts include 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen and Cromlix bespoke range of sumptuous Arran Aromatics toiletries to ensure you feel truly pampered!

At Cromlix, we are situated in the beautiful Scottish central belt, and have 34 acres of private grounds and woodland which are all available to explore with your dog. There are paths around the grounds, including a Rhododendron lined path up to the Lochan which is beautiful in the Spring, or you can take a walk through our Kitchen Garden to visit the chickens and which sits right next to the tennis court, where you may find some rogue tennis balls for your four-legged friend! We even have wellies and umbrellas to borrow for wet days, to ensure that walkies can go ahead whatever the weather. And when you return from your outing, we have a dog bed, dog treats and toys available in your bedroom so you can all relax together before exploring the doggie breakfast menu for the following day!

Why do you love being a dog-friendly hotel?

For some people a holiday isn’t a holiday unless the whole family is there, and that includes the dog, so we know we can make visits to Cromlix even more special by being dog-friendly. We really encourage visitors to embrace the beautiful Scottish countryside while they stay with us - there are lots of botanical references at the hotel, from the bedroom names, to the floral printed wallpaper. But it’s even better if people get outdoors themselves while they are here and nothing like having a dog by your side to encourage you out the door for a walk.
