Situated in the heart of the North Wessex Downs, the dog-friendly Crown and Garter is the perfect relaxing rural escape. This warm and inviting 17th century coaching inn has stood its ground since 1640 and has been an integral part of Inkpen and the surrounding villages. Since then, the Crown and Garter’s bar and restaurant has been lovingly refurbished whilst still maintaining the classic old pub charm that has been loved for all of these years.

Each of The Crown and Garter’s 10 beautifully designed bedrooms boast their own unique style and personality. Within your room, you can expect a peaceful night’s sleep on the super king bed made with good quality linen. Your canine companion will especially appreciate the rooms being situated in an attractive courtyard with its own private garden for them to sniff around.

Please note: The restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings, but there are plenty of other dog-friendly eateries nearby.

Bedrooms are thoughtfully designed with each room having its own character. The rooms are set apart from the pub restaurant so if you are one for an early night, you shouldn’t be disturbed. The shower rooms boast a modern design, with hairdryers provided in each room.
